Car is currently on cut stock springs and #1 pads. Definitely don't plan to keep it on those, its just to rule out fitment issues for now. I am definitely getting some nice coilovers for it.
I can't get over how good that thing looks, holy crap. I drove a 1994 C280 for 13 years so I always loved the w202. Maybe I'm biased. But a w202 with muscular tweaks like that is the biggest flip I've ever seen a car do. They go from boring, old-people, pedestrian to looking mean.

You are right man. I will never forget when I first lowered my black c43 on 18inch monoblocks.
It had gotten dark already by the time we were done with it. Ill never forget when my friend took it for a quick spin to test drive it after finishing. Seeing the silver alloys and metalic black paint reflect light in the dark was just jaw dropping.
So what's up with the paint? It looks incredible in pics but you mentioned a full respray several times. Why respray? It's a "barn find" low miles C43 in a very rare color. I would do everything I could to keep the original paint.

Some areas of the car were repainted before so its not entirely original paint. Top of the trunk is really bad and there are a few spots where the clear peeled as well as discolored.
I can get it to shine but its in bad shape and my goal is to do a good respray.
Just removed the roof liner. What a pain the ***. Had the front seats out.....again. All pillar coverings were removed. Had the entire interior covered in plastic. That glue is the worst.
Sharing a few other things. Washed my c55 the other day. Also my brother got an e55. Has a few mods. The thing is faaaast.
I am trying to dial in the fitment of the wheels for now.
I ordered Yellowspeed Racing coilovers which should be in within a few weeks.
Need to find smaller tires and fit them on my other set of wheels to see what size fits better. Current 265/35/18 rubs in the back but it just needs a hair.
Hoping to have the car on the road in a month or so.
Also the coilovers dont look like whats in the pic. Below is a pic of someone i talked to on the same setup on a silver c43.
Man, this thread makes me jealous. Me and my C43/55 are well over 300k miles now and I kinda want to sell my E55 wagon and use the money to copy your work on my C43/55 and completely restore it to looking new again.
looking amazing, you're doing a ton of great work!
My C43 basically needs all the same work plus a professional respray, dent removal, front bumper, grille, at least 1 headlight, and some of the interior wood pieces are flexing/cracking.
I sold it to a friend a couple years back and bought it back again a few months ago. I couldn't stand to be without it and the friend sold it back for the same price I sold it to him for. He barely put 1k miles on it.
I just pulled down my failing headliner cover the other day, oh my god that glue that's still on the headliner boarding is THE WORST. I have no idea how to remove it.
