OEM cut springs and wrong shocks...seriously.

Already have new H&R Sport Springs and sourcing a new set of Bilstein.
Would you happen to have any recommendations for front / rear shocks?
The OEM/dealer setup is EXPENSIVE.
Thanks...

Itll be a tight fit. Might need to go down to 255s. Hope not

The wheel will naturally tuck in as the car is lowerred. Im hoping to drop it at least half way down without rubbing.

C43 AMG with a tune up
Your rear wide tires will spray grime all over the fenders and sides of the rear bumper and sandblast them clean from red paint.
Paint damage will probably be a huge headache for you?

Going wider than recommended is not always a good idea!
In the end it's your car and you may tweak the way you like it to be.
Good luck

We are a rare breed PJ. Your C43 is looking great. Rims are just right.

My C36 is getting some top end attention right now - head gasket, timing system/valvetrain inspection , water pump, even a new harness for good measure.

Fair enough.

I will be doing a water pump as well, it should be arriving today.

Im looking into some coilovers so I can dial in the suspension to where its just right also.

Replaced water pump and flushed coolant. Donot attempt this without proper tools youll be sorry. Spark plugs and valve covers next.

Good going

At least it seems you didn't have a screw shear when dismantling. It happened to me and I had to remove the rad and A/C condenser to enable clear access for the use of a drill and stud extractor. Finally went OK. Changed the belt and tensioner when I was in there. It's very easy when you have access. Also I would strongly recommend checking the square oil pressure pick up point lurking there for possible leaks. Again something very easy to change when the pump, rad, etc are out.

Regarding the valve covers, I also recommend you change the spark plugs before reassembling the covers with new gaskets. Without the covers on you have a little more access to the plugs and tools and in that area, every bit of space is appreciated, specially your fingers and hands.

Thanks man.

I replaced the belt and the idler pully. Should have done the tensioner as well but it seemed fine.

I napped the two screws on top that hold the metal plate bracket where the two sensors are.(these have nothing to do with the structural integrity of the pump). They dont come threaded so you have to screw the bolts in and form threads. About half way in each snapped.

Owly putting the trim back on. Also put the door handles and one side side skirt on but the skirt will have to come off when the bew clips come in.
