I'm having an issue doing a 5 liter swap on a 4.3 L car the oil pump is run on the timing chain and the timing chain sprocket on the 4.3 L seems to be smaller
When I did a test fit with the 4.3 L oil pump I seem to have excess slack in the chain on the 5 L block please let me know if there's a way to work around this I was informed that if I installed the 4.3 L oil pump that the tensioner would take up the extra slack on the 5 L block

I tried looking up the gentleman you mention but I could not find out how to look up his information perhaps you can provide me a link to the thread I really need as much I got up information as possible on this swap so I don't waste none necessary funds experimenting
the oil pump pickup also has a crack in it which necessitated the swap to move to a 5.0 engine and the 5 liter engine has .7 more displacement so the torque figure should be higher than the 4.3 liter
1998 C43 w/ 55 swap Wavetrac LSD and 6-Speed manual
It looks like someone used an extreme amount of RTV re-sealing the oil pans or timing cover. Ended up clogging the oil pump I still have the C43 oil pump from my swap if needed. Don't know anything about the gears though. Would a C43 oil pump and chain solve the problem? Or remove a link? If my memory is correct the chain for the oil pump is ONLY for the oil pump so it wouldn't impact the valve timing. It would be a C500 not a C50. 2 digits are for AMG engines.

Great questions and info with this project. I have a C63 engine and drivetrain with all the electrics and was thinking of buying an old C43 or C55 and dropping that into it. Would be a great fun sleeper on the street to have. My former 190/5.8 track car (460hp) can't be used on the street and too obvious to do it anyway.
Has anyone else done this swap that would elaborate how it was done?

I guest this project is to have a c50 badge at the back? The c43 engine is very different internally than a regular m113. If you want more power a c63 swap would be interesting, but you can also add e90 m3 ITBs to your 4.3 like so:
