Issue with AMG Rims on a 1995 C36

I just installed original five spoked style AMG rims on my 1995 C36. I have the model with the SL600 extra big caliper. While the wheel free spins ok. The caliper is right up agianst the rim. It's not rubbing at this point and it seems to drive ok but I just wanted to make sure that was Ok. I thought an original AMG rim wouldn't have any issues. I'll try to post a photo later so you guys can see as well.

stillen told me they had big brake kits that clear the rims by a few pieces of paper... it should be fine. if u are worried, pick up urself a set of good 5mm hr spacers... is it a fixed or sliding type caliper? can't remember...if the width of the caliper changes with the thickness of the pad, then make sure the caliper still clears with new pads...

I just put new pads and rotors on it so I do know it clears. I should be good but yes it's only a few pieces of paper...

if it clears youre okay, calipers dont move... they follow the movement of the wheel.

C36s came with two different sized brakes. They were both "from" the R129 SL, but different from each other. It might be worth mentioning (again!) that they are not the same parts as on the SL, just the same design... meaning you can't take the parts off an SL and put them on a W202.

you would not worry if you see how close my rim is to the caliper.

Different sizes! Not sure of the breakdown, but it was by chassis number.

I know you know the SL brakes are different, I just thought I would head that one off before someone jumped in and asked if they could be swapped.

I hear a SL600 Caliper might work but the rotors won't for sure. I'll post some pics tonight so you guys can see how close mine is. It's really a few pieces of paper close. I wonder if I can have the dealer check it out...
