Wow I really like your car's stance. How do u like the vogtland springs compared to the brabus? Can you tell me what exactly your suspension set up is? This is the exact look im going for. TAI

I like the Vogtland springs much better than the Brabus. They have fewer coils making them a bit stiffer while allowing more travel. The drop is very similar.

Kwik,

I'm looking for the same look you have. What size are your 1/5 wheels?

18's

Sorry to threadjack, but can 18's easily fit on the C43, or do you have to get spacers, etc.?

I was trying to get larger rims some time ago, but remember it being more trouble than it was worth. Is it as simple as a switch out?

Yes, it's that simple if you get properly sized wheels/tires...like I did

Thanks, I tend to feel that these 17's are a little too small.

Body Roll

By the way, this is my car from a few years ago. Just look at the body roll. This is what I have been trying to correct. I hope some tires and suspesion with smooth it out.

Kwik,

Thanks for posting pics of the Vogtland springs and pad #'s. I just had them installed and got the same drop you have. You saved me alot time and money. I got them from www.pure-motorsport.com and they are great! I will buy the Koni's soon from them as well.

Here's a pic.

I like the wheels more than I thought I would. The wheels are Brabus Monoblock VI Replicas I got from eBay. Fronts 7.5" X 18 et 38 and Rears 8.5" X 18 et 35

How is it for cleaning the rivots?
I just put thme on so I haven't had a chance to wash them yet. Still new in the pic.

How is the ride compared to the 17's?
The ride a bit stiffer but nothing to complain about.

What is the tire set up?
Front 225-40-18 and Rear 255-35-18

I was trying to find some Carlsson wheels but no one seems to have them. I got these as a temporary set but after seeing them on my car, I may just run these instead. They only ran me $700 shipped for the whole set. Some of my buddys who run some very expensive wheels saw them and were impressed by the quality. I know there knock-offs but you can't beat them for the price/effect.

C43 - Springs and Wheels

Thanks. It looks good. I have been considering the same set up, but trying to decide between AMG 17" split spoke or the 18" replicas. I was worried about the stiffness of the 18's.

What numbers are your spring pads when it was still stock? What are they now?
Going to lower my car soon, hopefully you can save me the trouble.

This is my C43 in a tight radius corner at the limit of adhesion. A little more body roll than I liked. So I have since I upped the front and rear spring rates and increased the low speed damping in the Penske shocks. I also went up to a solid 1.25" front swaybar.

Still on the topic of suspension can/ does anyone have any thoughts/ experience/ insights on full suspension kits? How do they compare to getting springs and then shocks, etc. Ride quality, amount of lowering, cost, durability, etc. Below is a link of three kits. Any other info would help out to. Thanks.
