C43 AMG Performance Exhaust System and C450
  • Does anyone know if this actually improves performance as the name suggest or is it just a noise maker?
  • Also I wonder how it compares to other after market exhaust systems. Seems like a no brainier on the cost side if similar to after market. Like AWE's option.
  • Can it be retro fitted to a C450

On the website, the description states it increases the sound, nothing about performance.

Will probably pass on it.

I don't think it increases performance.

Apparently, AWE's system is louder than the perf exhaust.

It cannot be retrofitted on a 450.

It doesn't change the performance of the car, just the sound quality, volume and ability to toggle on/off.

Well they didn't specify which item was performing haha. In this case it is the exhaust :P.

And speed. It increases the speed at which money moves to MB which helps their bottom line performance.

It would be great if there was a dyno test with and without the 'Performance Exhaust'. For $1250 it would be better to invest in the AWE system, which has a clean, polished look to it and adds some HP and TQ.

AWE is on all the time...
Mercedes Performance Exhaust is switchable on or off.

For the same money as AWE charges, the Mercedes Driver's Package offers:
  1. Summer Performance Tires
  2. AMG Performance Exhaust System
  3. 19" AMG Multi-Spoke Wheels (Titanium Grey)
  4. AMG Performance Steering Wheel

For my money.....
