c43 Performance exhaust vs AWE tuning exhaust c450

does anyone know if these exhaust systems are comparable? Any differences in sound/crackles/pops? Does one come out on top when it comes to a deep rumbling exhaust sound?

If the Perf exhaust is anything like the one in the C63 then the AWE will be deeper. then stock. the piping is usually a bigger diameter then stock so the tone is deeper.
the crackles are controlled by the ECU. so the amount should be about the same but it should be much louder.

also there is two styles Track and touring. so if you go the track version you are eliminating the rear muffler and basically getting strait pipes. so its going to be much louder.

I watched some videos of the AWE sound and some of the perf exhaust C43... it seems as if the Performance AMG exhaust sounds deeper... is it just me?

C43 Coupe with Perf Exhaust sounds pretty damn solid in real life (source: I own one), but I haven't seen a C43 Coupe with AWE exhaust to compare and give you a good answer here.

I think you'd be happy with either option, though.

AWE has done testing and has stated that the AWE exhaust is indeed (slightly?) louder than the Performance exhaust. Does the AWE exhaust have a button to close valves? You'd be surprised at how often you'll want your car to actually sound quiet in daily driving situations.

Awe-switch path exhaust works like your normal exhaust. Comfort is still quiet but you can open it up in sport+. I have the 63s with the track exhaust so iits always loud and cant be happier. Never want it quiet. personal preference I guess.

First post!!..... I'm in the process of placing an order for an AMG C43 Sedan and am considering the AMG performance exhaust.

Question on your sport exhaust, is it in "loud" mode all the time or is there a button to activate it and silence it?

Thanks.

There is a button to silence it / make it loud that can be used at any time, regardless of the selected drive mode.

In my opinion the perf exhaust is my favorite option I added to my C43... Wouldn't give it up for anything else. It's loud when you want it to be and quiet when you don't (highway is a good example when you want it quiet).

I can tell you the truth.

The C43 AMG Performance Exhaust is louder than the AWE, more rubble and more clips when just sitting there revving the engine. When you drive they both crack and pop. The biggest change is if you have the base exhaust, then the AWE will beat it hands down.

I'm selling my AWE Performance Exhaust in another post. I have also made a review on Youtube of the C43 AMG including the exhaust note for those that wanted to see the difference between the C450 AMG. I also state that the AMG Performance Exhaust is a must have on the C43 AMG.

Hope that helps.

Thought I had a warranty issue when I couldnt hear my exhaust. Then I realised after 30 mins that I didnt press the button.

Whatever what options you pick, PE has to be ticked no matter what. The car is soulless without it.

Yup.

I made that mistake of buying car without it

Did a retrofit which is awesome and sounds louder because the valves are always open.
