C43 - hands free trunk question

Dear all,

When I 'kick' underneath the rear bumper to activate the hands free boot/trunk option about 1 in 5 times it only opens half way.

Is this normal?

Thanks

From my memory it will auto stop if it senses something by the sensors. So say if you kick your feet but you were slow to retract your feet, it will stop halfway thinking you wanted to stop it from opening. That's from what I recall.

If you kick again once it's registered your first kick, it pauses while opening. I'm guessing you're either kicking twice because I always do (did it work the first time!?) or something is causing the sensor to think there was a double kick lol.

key in pocket and stand in center and move foot straight in and out not sideways and a steady motion not stopping and It works for me almost always.

This. Just kick once, and wait a few seconds. It works every single time for me.

I don't think cabs have this feature since the power trunk is not available due to retractable top.
