C43 performance exhaust how to quiet down regular side?
I would like to tune down a bit the regular pipe of the performance exhaust. Does anyone know how that can be done? Essentially a silencer on the regular side would be just fine. It would be nice to have a quieter sound to start with... and keep the performance side for fun

You have to drive it for a while before knowing how it is every day.
It is not bad at all in reg mode but I drive it almost all of the time in LOUD mode as it just sounds so good. the crackles and pops downshifting is just music to the ears.

You don't even have your car yet so how do you know it is too loud?

All trolling aside, if you drive the car in comfort and keep the valves closed, it literally sounds just as quiet as a c300. This is assuming you're not doing hard accelerations.

The quiet exhaust is actually really quiet. I have the V8 and out of curiousity I tried revving it up to near redline with the exhaust valves still closed and was surprised. It sounds similar to a luxury V6 focused exhaust note.

Ok, I will wait for the car to come in. I test drove a C450 and a C43 with performance exhaust, and it was wonderfully loud! It seems I don't remember correctly the quiet side ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Thanks.

It's quite quiet when in stealth mode, you will hear load if you're on the throttle up a hill for example but overall I find this car to be exceptionally quiet when cruising in comfort.
