2017 AMG c43 coupe
Made my own Carbon Fiber Engine Cover
I was looking around for vendors to offer a carbon fiber engine cover, like on the CLA45 with no luck. Since I couldn't find one, I decided to make one. Here is my first attempt at carbon fiber skinning. Its not perfect, but not bad for my first ever attempt. I hope you all enjoy!

Wow that came out great. If you have some time could you outline the steps you took to do this? I think a lot of us would do this ourselves if a first try could turn out like that.

Thanks everyone! I can tell you that this experience has made me really appreciate the quality and price of professionally made carbon fiber parts from vendors such as rw carbon, mode carbon, etc. It takes days/hours to make one part. It took me an entire week just to skin the cover. When you see the time and skill it takes to actually make a "perfect" part, you start to understand why these parts are so expensive.

I used a a DIY Starter kit from composite envisions. There are a lot of good tutorials online and multiple methods to do this.
