Finally, a place where C63 owners won't say "C43 isn't a real AMG"!!

I wish that were the case too. Alas the GLC43 I bought(yeah I know wrong forum) is stuck with the AMG badge which meant I get to pay more than if it were just a GLC400 or something. Eh

same exact options? That and I have no idea how Benz Canada changes their price over span of 3 years, whereas here in the States IIRC it was cheaper prior.

No HUD, no cooled seats and intelligent package. That's it. My c43 came in at 67 and change. My C400 was over 72.

it's funny how people keep saying it's not a true AMG
but then every year Mercedes adds more and more AMG badging
the C43 doesn't get a key fob with the AMG logo so I guess it's not a true AMG. Except that it says it on the back and front of the car.

I'll have to get one of those myself. I heard every time somebody adds that to a C43 key a single tear falls from a C63 owner.

This is actually a great place to make fun of "real" AMG owners. Since the forum split, c63 owners have no reason to come slumming in here.

in all serious though, a forum is a community and we should all share our questions, answers, ideas, experiences etc.
but yea I'm glad the forum split. I'd rather not have to deal with the constant arguing.

lol I just realized the second post of the thread was you joking about the C450 owners. Guess I'm way late to the party

2020 MB-AMG GLC43
I think the difference there is the owner themselves doing that is misleading. S-Line A4s specifically came with an S-Line badge on front fenders so no issue there. Still says A4 on rear and s-line is known to be the appearance package only. But putting your own S emblem beside the A to make it say "S4" is a little.... different, lol.
In our case this is from MB directly. Not like we are purposely slapping on AMG badges. Almost seems as if we are suppose to de-badge the car from factory now, lol.

I am in Canada in a city with a long winter. I wanted an AWD car and the C63 was rear only when I bought my C43. I spent less to get more car :-). I do love turning off traction control for the occasional slide on dry pavement.
I bought the same way when I bought an E last time. In 2011 I chose an E550 with AMG Sport package. I wanted AWD and the E63 was rear only and very slide happy. (A good friend owns one)
MB puta the AMG on it... it is an AMG. End of story.

I guess this particular AMG Crest logo isn't included for the C43 since it's not produced at the Affalterbach factory.

Is the new AMG hypercar a real AMG? It's only got a V6 that's built in Brixworth, England (same place they build MB's F1 engines), not Affalterbach.
Guess we should ask those C63 owners or 12 year old 'net fanbois.
Seriously though, who cares what other people think, do they make your monthly payments?

The bickering is quite hilarious.. to those still in denial, Mercedes-Benz have named them an AMG. Hate to break it to you but no body really cares what you think
Two completely different cars, serving two very different purposes. Ive never argued my m3 is more M than the new M cars since an M should be NA and not turbo charged. Quite funny..
