I'm not too happy about this C43/C63 split in this forum. There were lots of useful info that could be shared among the owners of both cars. Now we have to check two threads to find the topics that may apply to both cars!
However, I'm glad we can avoid those useless arguments about the "real AMG", that used to pop up in almost every other thread!

Funny that one of the first posts on the C63 subforum was "Who built your real AMG?".
Cenzo, more info to spread around, the better! I visit the C300 section regularly to find stuff.

I can understand why some C63 owners are irked about the C43 being added to the AMG line up, and conversely, C43 owners being told by C63 owners that their car isn't a real AMG. That being said, what baffles me is how some people get downright offended to the point of fury and rage lol.
I'm more impressed with seeing an individual's personal, academic, and professional accomplishments than I am with the badge on their car. Call me old fashioned...

The point is that there's no need for having this argument.
This forum is for exchanging useful information IMO.
Reading tens of comments back and fourth in the middle of threads to prove or disprove what is called a real AMG is just useless.

And by the way, I should say that I don't mind people start a thread and argue about anything they like.... just don't do it in the middle of other threads!

I do however agree with your opinion on real or not real AMG feuds going on here they really are an exercise in futility the reality is - it is what it is - people really need to get over and on with it

It's an amalgam of modern pop culture as I understand it to be. It uses TMZ, fake news, and discussions below Jalopnik "articles" as reference points. I think I'm beginning to join the trend setter class. If you disagree, I will include you as those who just don't get it.

I mean, it's a fact that the c43 engine is not built on the AMG factory... The car just has the AMG look. At the same time, I wouldn't go so far as to say it's not a real AMG... It says it, doesn't it?
That said, I find it helpful to separate the two... Most mods, particularly the front end aesthetic mods and engine mods, are very different than the c43 mods... Same reason that the m3/m4 forums are separate from the other 3 series forum.
Saying they should be on the same forum is like saying your vacation photos from Europe should be on the same folder as your vacation photos from Asia... Yeah they are all vacation photos, but there is enough difference between the two to warrant separation.
Btw, if you want to find information that could cross between the two categories, you can still search the parent folder and get results from both.

Who cares. People weren't being objective about it. It was purely petty.

The best is the claim that calling the C43 an AMG is just marketing to sell more cars. What do they think "one man one engine" is? Ha!
It's a bit more of a pain to browse all three threads. The difference is not as big as the difference between vacation photos in Asia and Europe. It's like the difference between vacation photos in Rome and Florence.

Because the ego of C63 owners is the most important thing.
On the BMW forum I never got **** for having a 1M front clip on my 135, and the 1M and 135 shared the same forum fine.

New to the Forum.. Wazzzup! No but on a serious note as a C63 owner. I was in a big debate on whether to purchase a C450/C43 AMG and I decided to go the C63 route. But as I was thinking on it and reading many C63/AMG hand built motor owners bash the C43 AMG for it's non V8 and non hand built engine being the essence of it not being an AMG in the process of making my decision. I have concluded IMO I have to say that it is in fact an AMG car. Why do I come to that reality? It's named that from Mercedes Benz the company who made our cars. Now idk about all of you but who am I to say otherwise then what Mercedes and AMG say it is. But with that being said is it a full on AMG vehicle? "You know what I mean!" I say it is and it isn't only and I mean only because it doesn't have the hand built engine and other tweeks. But to call it what it's not is absurd. It's apart of the AMG family IMO end of story. Don't believe me ask Mercedes if it is or isn't. They'll probably say did you buy it new? And you might say yes. And they might say did it have an AMG badge on the trunk lid? And you will probably say yes. And they'll probably say did that answer your question. Let's focus on that fact we all own a piece of the best car manufacturer again IMO in the world. Don't believe me again ask Lewis Hamilton. Lol This post probably doesn't make much sense. But hell I tried to get my point across.
