Cargo Net Functionality ~ Not Sure I'm Seeing It
So I'm going through the car today getting familiar with it and found the cargo net in the trunk packaged up
Since it's a cargo net with 4 hooks it seemed like reading the directions for installation was unnecessary
After unsuccessfully trying to install the net without the directions, I read them and properly installed it
Not sure how useful this thing is going to be
I'm guessing the idea is that stuff wont be flying around the trunk, but what stuff that would be I have no idea
Doesn't seem practical to put groceries or the like in there, I'm not sure what I'll be using it for

I've actually found it to be quite useful. Literally anything (including groceries) that you want to put/keep in your trunk, that fits under the net, will be kept in place rather than moving around every time you make a turn/accelerate/brake. Why can't you find the utility in that?
Certainly some sporting equipment, or a duffle bag would be better off in the cargo net than flying around the trunk, especially if you didn't want it in the cabin of the vehicle
Groceries on the other hand I'm not as sure, I'm picturing the bread getting squashed LOL
The net just looks very stretched tight already while installed with nothing in it but once I use it perhaps it's just a visual that's clouding my perception
I'm definitely going to use it and will have a better idea of how useful it will be for me
Thanks for the reply StillCap2 !!

Grocery wise, I put the heavy, hard stuff (milk, boxed goods, etc) under the net and the soft stuff out on its own. I undo the front two hooks, set the bags, then pull over to secure. I also set stuff on the net that I don't want to slide under...the net provides some traction from sliding. I haven't had a net since my Audi and I got very used to having it. It'll grow on ya!

At first, I thought the cargo net but that was an obvious no go
Hanging a plastic take-out grocery bag makes sense!
Thanks... I'm learning a bunch of stuff from this forum, appreciate the input from you and everyone else (I'll be giving back as soon as I am able to contribute something valuable. Right now the newbie on the block)

Yeah, the plastic hooks on the side are perfect for 2-4 plastic grocery sacks. I use them for the heavy stuff and the rest just hangs out in chaos. I don't drive home from the grocery store like I'm battling it out in MarioKart so everything more or less stays in one spot.
I think the net is more for big/bulky items that you fear could be harmful in an accident. Stuff you most likely don't find yourself hauling around too often. Mine is still in it's packaging under the floorboard as I haven't needed it.

Gotta share the holy story mo. I think all of us should share this part more given that we driving the car "like we stole it". You know what that gives me a great idea for a new thread.

Hahaha! Woah, that'll be a long one... besides, that happened when i was still driving my e coupe. I was more worried about the handcuffs scratching my watch than the cost of the ticket... but, that would be a good thread indeed... lets figure out a title... hmmm, maybe... "So, you wanna drive it like you stole it, huh"? Hahaha!

I was keeping it at the speed limit (5-10 over) for the most part when the car was stock. But I have to admit, since going stage2, I find myself speeding quite often
It's a calculated speeding for the most part though. Only in areas that I know cops don't patrol too often.

For those of us living in NYC we have a new jack to contend with. If you watch the news, you know that the governor and the mayor don't get along. Well for the past 2 months there have been state troopers patrolling busy main roads throughout the city. They are out here solely to give out tickets, driving up and down what I have found to be an actual route. They are setting up speed traps, riding around with the plate scanners in, and pulling cars over for 11mph over the limit. They are on the streets to take money out of NYC pocket.
So heads up if you see a navy car with gold stripes. They are not just passing through the city, they are on patrol.

There you go !
I see you have the rear hooks going through the carpet
When I lifted the corners of the carpet in the rear up, I have the net going around them
I either didn't realize there are slots cut in the carpet, or you cut them in and I'll need to do the same
Thanks for the picture!
