Mr. AMG reviews the C43
This has got to be the most properly objective C43 review I have seen to date. Also, major kudos and credibility to the reviewer, given that he probably owns more AMG vehicles than any current reviewer or nay sayer of the C43. That Green Hell GT doe

2021 Mercedes C63s AMG Coupe
I was going to post this yesterday but forgot. He literally summarized my exact feelings about this car. And like he said and I always maintained as well, the PE more than makes this car worthy of the AMG badge, because it really does give this car its own identity and style. The difference the PE makes for this car is huge, more than the difference between PE and non-PE in a C63 like he said. It really does have its own style of doing things and it really isn't pretending to take on the "real" AMGs. It is doing its own thing with its own unique way.
Kudos to Rokenr. Instead of banging on for half the time debating if this car deserves the badge or not, he actually gave us a proper review. And like Silver Surfer said, this is coming from a guy who owns more AMGs than anyone I know atleast.

That above video (drag race) is stolen content. They even blur out the watermark.

1) the race seemed more like a 1/8 mile drag race, not a 1/4 mile. The 63's would've wiped the floor with the 43 if it was a 1/4 mile.
2) they raced in wet-ish conditions. Obviously these conditions aren't ideal for anyone, but it's even worse for the RWD cars (duh).
3) based on the video, I don't think the 63's used launch control. I'm assuming this was to try and minimize wheel spin, and level the playing field for the 43?
Lesson to be learned here? Never roll race a 63

Actually, I think the video is accurate, here's why:

I don't understand why anyone would have ever skipped the PE option? It really is a no brainer. Even if you have to custom order and wait 3 months for the damn car, its worth it!

911 around 3 seconds or less 0-60 depending on year
C43 around 4.0 or 4.1. C&D says 4.1

I just beat a 911 Turbo off the line last week in my C43. I should not have won, but the Turbo probably didn't take me seriously (even though he wanted to race). 1 second goes fast if you don't put the hammer all the way down, miss the light change, or miss a shift.

There's no realm on earth where a c43 will ever "beat" a 911, let alone a turbo. I think you were just trolled mate.

Honestly, the chances of gunning off of a red light, and hitting 60 in 4.1 are slim to none. Without brake torquing, you're not going to get anywhere close to the numbers posted by auto journalists. I love my c43, but you have to be realistic in these scenarios.

My neighbour has some timing gear as he is a SERIOUS racing nut and sometimes rents a whole track with his buddies and their exotics. I have been 4.1 off his timer. Consistently in the 4.3's
I think any two cars with a second difference can go either way 1/10 times.
If you haven't tried it - run with traction / esc all the way off and do a brake stand start. If you have dry pavement you can do pretty well.

I can attest that this car can "hang" with a 911 turbo on the freeway at any speed. Had a back and forth two car convoy for several miles until the Porsche owner exited.... but not before giving me a thumbs up!

When I got my C43 the dealer only had two models both spec'd up the wazoo ($66K & 71K). The more expensive one was already tagged by another client and the cheaper one I got didn't have the pano roof... I don't regret it. That PE is pure AMG! And I just wrapped the roof with 3M carbon fiber, lol. It all worked out and I'm happy.
