C43 AMG Coupe Lower

Is the only option for lowering the c43 coupe now to get the c450 springs and spacers?

Or does any site offer specific made coupe lowering springs? I heard AWE is making them but not 100% sure.

Not sure what is your problem here. C450 share the same suspension with the C43 Sedan and Coupe.

Just get the h&r springs and go 15mm front and 20mm rear. Trust me it’ll look and ride great! If you want I’ll post some pics but it’ll have to be tomorrow.

Thanks for the feedback! I am not too educated as I never lowered my previous cars, but with the current stance with the all season tires on, I feel like it may need it.

Where is the best place to get the HR springs and the spacers? How much did it cost you to drop it overall?

Thank you, so this is all I would need? No spacers? Coupe or sedan it does not matter based on your feedback

You’ll need spacers otherwise the wheels will looked too tucked when you drop the car.

Here ya go:

Don’t mind the fact that it says they’re for Audi. Both share the same wheel bore size.

THIS is the information that I needed and that is very useful, thank you very much for this. See I would have been screwed if I just bought the springs, that was my whole "problem". So basically I am looking at $450-$500 to lower it with just parts alone. Not sure if it is worth it...

i bought 15mm all the way around, but your set up looks perfect.

Any rubbing issues with the 20mm on the rear?

The labor is easy and shouldn’t cost much. I could save you a couple bucks. I have a set of the 15mm with bolts I’ll sell you for a good price. They were only on my car for a short time. I know you’re not far from me either so would be willing to meet up.

PM me if you’re interested...

Thanks! No rubbing at all. I went 15mm all around at first but wanted the rears more flush. 20mm is perfect if you’re lowered.

Perfect height and offset. By any chance, did you boot around like this last winter? I'm wondering if it will turn the car into a snow plow - that's my only hesitation.

I got the car in Jan and dropped it right away but have yet to drive in any real snow. It’s only a 1 inch drop so I don’t think it’ll make a significant difference.

A couple of questions-

Are the parts the same for the sedan?

Do the new springs affect the suspension modes (S,S+) other than the overall better handling that the springs are supposed to provide?

Happy to help and I did hardly nothing at all! haha

It just seems like the rear drops slightly more and the front doesn't drop as much on the sedan compared to the coupe. Weight distribution can easily contribute to this difference between the models.

Hi,

Care to share the spring rates of the H&R springs and how are they compared to stock/oem springs. Thank you.
