Tow hook license plate fail.

As you can see, sensor is directly behind the plate triggering the alarm and forcing me to shut the system off. The plate is Craven Speed Platypus, I even got the longer bolt. Any idea what I should do, really don’t wanna drill holes in the bumper.

Is there any way to adjust the plate? additional mounting holes in the bracket, etc.?

My plate holder has more than one hole so you don’t block the sensor. Did you examine that possibility?

Do they bother you in NY for no front plate? I drove my S5 for years without one here in NJ. I know it’s needed for parking in some spots but I just kept it in the car and through it in the windshield if I was parking in a place like a municipal lot.

I rotate the license plate holder to the left side of the of the bumper.

interesting, I don’t think mine moves like that but I’ll check. Thanks!

Unfortunatly in NY a front plate is required, didn’t feel like drilling holes in my front bumper.

Cravenspeed was nice enough to send me some kind of adapter that might fix the issue, if not I’ll have to look into a different license plate holder.

Anyone able to find the right position for tow hook license plate with parking sensor? I tried all positions, even it's not blocking the sensors, it will still trigger the sensor. Mine is a 2017 GLA45 AMG.

You have the wrong plate holder for your car. The one for the C43 has the bolt hole at the right edge of the holder, like the one pictured in Kalvalor's post.

Good to hear. I live in Jersey and I didn't want to drill holes in this car's bumper so I've been driving without the front plate. I've only had if for a few months but so far so good...

Does alternatives like slybrackets https://www.slybrackets.com/store/ work better? I heard good reviews from forum members although I never tried it myself.
