I just made a few calls to performance brakes distributors, which pointed me to http://www.porterfield-brakes.com/ According to Porterfield, production for C43 pads is scheduled for Feb/March 2018. They will be offering street/mild-track compound. By then, they also should be able to custom make any compound upon request. Price range should be around $170-130 and obviously higher for custom orders. I also spoke to Ferodo, they don't have any immediate plans to make any pads for the C43.

EBC UK is working on pads for the C450/C43. No ETA yet.
Also looks like we have some aftermarkets coming to the market, however I would trust the mercedes pads for the track.

stock pads are generally designed for quiet (no squeal), less brake dust and rotor/pad life.. track pads arent.. makes track pads handle the wear and tear and heat much better
I went through a stock set of VW Gti pads in 1 session at summit point shenendoah (the backing caught on fire)

Always good to bead in/burnish pads... my C is my daily and the C43 will see some track duty, I also have a corvette which is my primary track rat ...have to burnish pads and rotors twice a year as I go through 2 sets in 6 track days lol

With cooling ducts and all, I went through a set of race pads in 1 day. But that was a 4hrs of on-track day (8 - 30minutes sessions), I filled gas 7 times that day, started the session with a full tank, down to a little over 1/4 by the end of each session. That's why I won't trust stock pads, Porsche is the only company that has OEM track-worthy pads.
