MBWorld Fanatic!
The reason I chose the c43 over the c63 is because I live in New England and I need a vehicle that can handle ice and snow as a daily driver..the AWD is awesome in the snow.. also the ride is not as harsh as the c63

Only reason I have the C43 over the 63 is the AWD.
That said...now that I've had the 43 for a while...I don't know if I would even bother with the 63. The 43 sounds fantastic with the AMG Drivers Package (exhaust upgrade).
I'd rather put that extra 30k towards something else...especially considering with maybe a couple thousand in mods you'll be just as quick or better than the 63.

Get the 17 C43 or spend a little more and get an 16 C63. I would try hard to avoid first year cars.
My friend has a 15 C63 and the car has spent more time in the shop than it has in his own garage. And he got it new.

2018 amg c43 cabriolet
i know I am prejudice but the c43 is a much better car. G9 and 4 matic and the m276 mill add up to a winner. Plus, you can have a newer car, really a no brainer. If the c63 had the g9 and 4 matic then more of a toss up. I personally would still choose the 3.0l m276 mill because its just mo' better to me more european and kinda more exotic, jmo. all around driving experience is more mercedes like.
I will add that the performance exhaust is a nice way to enhance the engine sounds.
I am guessing that the newer c63 models will offer g9 and 4 matic like the 'e' and 's' versions.

If the C43 is new, I'd get that. I'm not a fan of buying used or demo cars, albeit CPO. I've seen enough sketchiness at dealerships and between forum members to know that a car report doesn't always show what the car has been through. There's enough video evidence of people driving a new car way too often at redline or driving them excessively hard at a track because it's a lease. I'd hedge my bets and say that a 2 to 3 year old c63s has been properly abused. Now before the CPO crew starts burning me at the stake, this is just my 2 cents lol.

What he ^ said. I was at the same cross roads when I got my C43. Knowing any C63 had prolly a 75% chance it had been thrashed to hi heavens made me go for new. Buying a used car that's made to be raced is great when its a few years old, but once that warranty goes away you will wish you had bought new. That's just my .02
