2020 MB-AMG GLC43
2017 C43 - Remote Start Canada
Ok.... So MB does not seem to offer any remote starter options. It is cold here. -29C, -40 with wind. I live in the Canadian cold prairie. Come on!!!

Locally -the premium aftermarket shop does not have anything that can be installed.
Any leads would be appreciated.(MBrace -or whatever it is called - is not offered up here in Canada)

Mercedes Me only works half the time for me anyway...so you're not missing much...

any tech mod shop can install a remote starter. In america runs about 150 bucks. in america I use 'cartoys' stereo shop.

But have you done that on a C43? The premium shop in town doesn’t have any solutions. They did a friends’s MacLaren - but can’t do the C43?!?

I don't know if this is your problem, but i believe that a minimum of 5 gallons is required in the car to remote start.

I've never had a problem with remote starting my car, Mercedes ME has a ton of bad reviews but it hasnt let me down so far.

I have not installed a remote start on my c43. I kinda think now that it would be tough to do this as the mercedes ecu may not allow for it. I use mercedes me, but sometimes takes a long time like 5 minutes as it runs through its 'security check'. CHeers

Nope...full tank, gas cap on tight, windows up, doors locked, trunk closed.

Dealer has nothing to do with remote start...all the error messages were from the Mercedes Me app on my iphone.

is this a programmable item for the car, or do we need some hardware (here in Canada) to get this working? Would be very nice to be able to warm car up before getting to garage.

It is a service from MB. The car connects to the network. Not available here in Canada. :-(
