I have the Cete... it works perfectly. Best part is it is controlled with the existing button. Installation was very easy and only mildly more complex than the Renntech one.

You can order from the ASR website and then ship to mail forwarding service in Germany and/or Austria then have the mail forwarding service ship to your home. Only do this if it is cheaper though.

For those still thinking about getting an Exhaust Module... SST has them for sale as well SST flap control suitable for Mercedes C-Class C43/C63/C63S (sst-spezialsteuergeraete.de) I have one on my C43 and it works perfectly. I get a ton of people saying that my car "sounds great". Also, a side note when you have the PE exhaust in Sport+ the flaps are NOT fully open, they only fully open during full throttle, with these exhaust modules my flaps stay wide open all the time which make for a MUCH better cold start and all-around better sound when cruising. With the SST module you get 4 modes to choose from: You choose the appropriate mode yourself:
  1. Sport mode: Flap(s) permanently open with sporty and robust sound regardless of driving situation and vehicle settings
  2. Comfort mode: Flap(s) permanently closed with discreetly restrained sound regardless of driving situation and vehicle settings
  3. Serial mode: Control of the flap(s) as before in the series configuration, e.g. for service, etc.
  4. Freestyle mode: Flap(s) 50% open for individual sound and volume configuration

Hmmm never heard of this particular one, thanks for sharing.

So far there is ASR, CETE and Burger Motorsport Exhaust valve plugs. Now there is an additional of the one you recommend.

Too bad it says it’s only for the pre-facelift model years

I,m thinking about getting a ASR module, even if the increase in sound is not that noticeable in most scenarios according the general feedback.
From my understanding when stock, even in Sport+, the exhausts will be 70% at start and low RPM, until they open at 100% at full throttle.
With the ASR, they will be open 100% all the time. So this is mostly useful in the sense that you won't have to press the PE button all the time while switching modes.

I feel the exhaust flap module is DEFINITELY worth it! I only paid around $260USD for the SST branded one. Having the exhaust flaps FULLY open all the time especially on cold starts just makes the C43 sound SO much better! The "Pops and Bangs" are louder as well, and I get compliments all the time on how good it sounds. Except for the old lady at the grocery store that had to put her finders in her ears when I started it up next to her while she was loading her groceries in her trunk

I agree, the cold start and even warm starts are much nicer.

Guys, now you're tempting me!

So that would be that one for a C43 2019, right?

Yup, that's the right one for the facelift. Installation happens in the trunk you roll up the foam piece of two wires and look for the thinner plastic looking one, clip the ASR module's first wire in there and the other wire that was unplugged is clipped on the other wire/plug of the ASR module. In short, you only have to unplug one wire out of the two wires in the trunk.
