Quote: Probably the same number: 1 (800) 367-6372. Also got this from google. It took me a bit of complaining for this guy to look the car up. All they need is the last 6 of the VIN. What I thought was funny is he's worked for the company for 20 some years and said he has 0 way to contact the VPC or Alabama's plant. I said, you mean its against policy for Customer Service to contact them. "Yes, I'd also be on the phone for hours with them because someone would post on the Forum what I did..."
Ok yes same number. Going to try again in a couple hours and hope for a different customer service rep haha.

Haha. My rep was William. I am sure there is more than 1 customer service rep named William, but he was pretty empathetic and helpful with what he could see.

I've emailed extensively with Debbie over at customer service. She has been very responsive and helpful, but is confined by the level of information available in the system.

Hey All, some lovely cars. Currently have the 2017 AMG C43 but lease is up in less than a year so am starting to get the itch. Was contemplating the e53 coupe but just cant justify the monthly payments. So settled back on the 2019 facelifted c43 Sedan.

Question: what doe the AMG trim kit get you if you already have the night pack? for example, If I want to get a Selenite Grey Metalic with night package and stain black rims. And I want to get the AMG side skirt and Spoiler that are high-gloss black, do I need to get the front lip, vents and diffuser also in the AMG trim? They are described as "deep-gloss"

confused! If any one can post some pics of the AMG trim and let me know the difference, greatly appreciated!

at least in Spain,

You can choose the AMG night package. Black exterior- mirror covers, front splitter, vents and rear exhaust tips and rear windows and AMG 18" wheels 5 spoke

if you choose the AMG exterior pack, it must be combined with the night package. It adds a bigger front splitter, black side skirts and rear spoiler and what they call "flics" on the rear bumper in black.

Quote: Hang in there! I'm sure they'll get this resolved, and I'm looking forward to your delivery pics/posts.

If not for married life and plans to have a baby next year, I would have ordered an M2 with manual. But I'm really glad I got this car. During my limited time with the car, it's been a joy and almost makes me forget that I don't have a third pedal. In terms of steering feel, I actually prefer the C43 compared to the M2 that my buddy uses as a daily driver.
I had an M2 for two days. Loved the engine, chassis, brakes. I wanted to fly to Germany, find the guy who signed off on the steering, and beat him senseless. I have NO idea how BMW could screw this one up so bad. OK, my C43 doesn't quite match my e46 MSport car, but I do know what is going on under the front wheels....M2, great car, steering from a Coupe deVille from 1968. Drove an M235i as well, it too had novocain steer.

I was looking at my build sticker. I ordered my car in August. The Build Sticker says 11/18, and they delivered it mid December. When were other cars built ?

Just got an email from customer service that my sedan is still at the factory in Vance. I'm not sure what status code it is, but I was told by my SA that it would be put on a truck today. If that doesn't happen, I'm going to escalate this as far as I can. Again, I can handle waiting. It's just the lack of information and consistent changing stories coming from MB.

Are you in West Virginia or FL!?! Surely there are not too many (or any?) other '19 c43's in WV!!

I'm in Jefferson County, bought from a MD dealer.

Another example of crossed signals So I got some good news. My SA confirmed with the transporter that the car was loaded onto a truck yesterday and departed. However, MB customer service has my car still located at the factory site in Vance, AL. One of these is fake news. The question is which one..

so funny you should say that. That is my working hypothesis. Just piecing together the timeline, the first time my car was posted as released to carrier matches about when it was put in the remote lot. So it could be on a truck heading back to the VPC to get the software update. That would be consistent with both stories.

I have no idea what is happening to mine then. I have never been released to carrier and I am in the remote lot. haha

This is exactly why cars need 5G wireless comm for updates, diagnostics, road and highway conditions, vehicle to vehicle communication.

Then this whole "We have to bring it back to update it" stuff would be done as it drove off the lot for delivery.

I'm of a much simpler mind. Rather than go 5G on today's cars, I'd just like someone from MBUSA to give me the real story on where the car is and what a real ETA might be. Simple, right?

Funny story. So my dad ordered a corvette many years ago and the dealer kept pushing back the delivery. My dad drove over to the dealer and drove around back to their body shop. He saw the exact corvette he ordered basically bent in half with only dealer tags on it.

Turns out, the dealer received the vehicle and parked it in what he thought was a safe place until pick up. A jacked up SUV was backing up and did not see the vet. He floored it while backing up since it was on a hill and manual transmission. Ran right over the center of the car back to about the windshield.

The body shop was trying to repair it before delivery! The entire front end needed to be replaced, including the engine!

From that point forward, my dad got a very good deal on all his cars and only picked up his Corvettes from the Bowling Green, Kentucky plant.

Woah...that is bad on so many levels. Not to mention super illegal. I did Performance Center delivery for my last BMW. The best car delivery experience I have ever had. A first class operation all around.

BMW delivery is pretty smooth. You can track everything from start to boat at the port! A co-worker just did a Performance Center delivery for his M6 Gran Coupe. Such a great vehicle. He used to be able to hide the fact he was driving during conference calls. haha

Anyone planning on the AMG Performance Driving School after delivery?

Might take it after a few years in preparation for a GT purchase

Is AMG school worth it over other driver programs?
