OMG!!! BMS JB4 in the works!
have you heard anything from terry to confirm this? I was thinking of getting a jb1 just now for this season as I was under the impression that this jb4 wouldn’t make it out in time for the end of the summer season but if this isn’t the case I might as well hold off and wait for a jb4 now...
anybody hear anything on timeline to production?
The 43 and the Stinger are very very similar. No reason that the 43 cannot achieve similar numbers.
Perhaps just slightly less due to 10% less displacement. Maybe we can still get 390awhp out of the M276 Dela with just this piggyback.
According to the vid below, it can be done with an SDS scanner

Guess what the V1-tune guys were doing....... beta testing
Regardless of the tune/tuner, you're always taking a risk anytime you modify a car, and don't be fooled by tuners who offer "warranty", read the fine print and good luck if you ever have to use it. No one if forcing anybody to tune their car and It's very simple, if you can't take any risk, keep your car stock.
it can only be done with SDS with top level security. To get this to need someone to generate a unique seed key for a single session for you. THe going rate on most of the coding sites is about $50. I am waiting for someone to be nice enough to release the generator for free before I do more coding work. $50 per session adds up!! Also the limit on the c43 can only be raised to 155 MPH through sds. not sure if its possible to completely remove it through easy coding. It may be ossible to hard code but I have no idea where to begin. honestly 155 is good enough for me. lol
You need a star diag system, then you will need to obtain the seed from the ecu, give to someone who has cracked the algorithm, then they give you a key back for the same session, and then you have full access to code anything you want. if you are near michigan i can help you. but still costs me $50 to get the key
I have a working sds though. Can do a few other cool things too for free like change the amg logo for radio on start up and stuff like that.

If you want to compare C43 times, the dragy app is free to use the leaderboard section.
I strongly doubt that any engine internals were changed. Doing so would unnecessarily increase cost and add more supply chain constraints for zero benefit. The M276 motor is already very overbuilt for all it's current applicaitons. Goosing another 5-10% hp and tq out of it does is not going to decrease the service life in any appreciable way.
Once the dust settles I'm positive we will see that the older C450/C43 turbos and the newer E43/C43 turbos are cross compatible with no risk the the motor. I strongly suspect that MB is using the larger turbo for the new C43's simply to reduce complexity of their supply chain.
Look at it this way, if the larger turbos can be produced at the same cost or only slightly increased cost of the smaller units then it makes more sense to eliminate the smaller turbos and unify around a single part number. Reducing the overhead expense and complexity for multiple part numbers is sure to be favorable to MB with respect to cost.
