I do respect the way BMS responds to these threads in an honest and non defensive, but factual way. I at least appreciate it- they could be dicks, like some other vendors in response to their products.

None whatsoever, that's why we never knew or seen it on our test car until someone said they had a little indentation on the hood lining.
I know what you mean, It's different between cars cause how it is installed. The filter design was not an easy one to come by either, that took a lot of R&D. It's not an off the shelf round filter than can be custom made in a day if you give some dimensions.
Just like some of those tiny little filters you see our competitors come out with.
Yes, I stand corrected, "Crushed" is not the best word to describe the situation, but from the pics I have seen, it leaves groove indentations from the filter element in the hood lining (meaning the filter(s) does not fit properly)- that should have been engineered better, there is no excuse for that in my opinion. Especially when dealing with top notch companies, which BMS seems to be.

Bump! Anyone get the MST intake installed yet? have IAT numbers before and after to report?
Anyone with BMS intake care to share IAT numbers in daily driving conditions?

Do I need a tune for this intake or it’s a plug and play? I really want to this intake and hear my turbo!

We've sold quite a few of our V1 and now V2 intakes, lots of good performance reports. A few complaints here and there on fitment with the V1 which we rectified with the new V2 so there is plenty of clearance now.

BMS, thank you for the openness in the forum, its much appreciated! Not a huge fan of leaving the filters open and cutting pieces off a $70k car, but I guess you gotta do what you gotta do!

If you're afraid of trimming your $100 plastic engine cover just leave it in the trunk.
