I just got 16’ c450 and want to put spacer untill i decide on new wheels. I have the 18” five spoke wheels right now. I did search this forum and i notice there is a lot confusion with what works or not.
I think I narrowed it down to what i want.
So i would like front 4-5mm and i saw 12mm H&R that suposed to work(link below if somebody can confirm)
My questions:
1.what 4-5mm spacer i can use for front. Im assuming it dont have to be hub centric since the orginal hub will still be exposed (please post a link)
2. Where can i get extended bolts and what sizes for front and back. Preferably black bolts.
It all depends on the look your looking for. I went with 20mm spacers all around. I’m running stock 19’s but my wheels and tires are flush to the body of the car.
I went with H&R spacers they also supplied the bolts an d you can ask for black. These spacers are hub centric! You want that!
so what size of front/back would you suggest for stock suspension with stock 18” wheel.
The stock 18's have a more aggressive rear offset than the 19's, surprisingly enough. So a 10/12 would be max (preferably a 10 but can't remember if there was one that worked).
I was looking for black bolts but everything out there in 14x1.5 is R12/R13 whitch is Audi/VW bolts. Difrent Ball seat then R14. It would probably work but i want to be safe then sorry. I end up ordering those black covers for now or i will just powercoat the head of the bolts. https://otisincla.com/product/17mm-b...g-bolt-covers/
When I got my aftermarket wheels installed a couple weeks ago, I had problems with road vibrations at speeds 65+ with 5mm spacers or at least that's what the shop told me they were. So I had it replaced with 3mm spacers on a 19x8.5et35 wheel and my clearance with the control arm is about 2-3mm at best but no rubbing...or very very very minimal at worst on upramps

I assume that's the front? What's your setup front and rear? Looks nice and flush.
