High flow cats ( Deeper/ louder exhaust noise) worth it ?

I read that people with high flow cats get more noise/ deeper rumble-in addition to potential performance with a couple of extra HP/TQ along with faster turbo spool.

What potential options are available for the c450 that are plug and play and wont decrease performance ( loss of back pressure). I am not looking for catless DP’s.

Im looking for a deeper grumble along with some performance benefits.

Ive never ever met anybody with highflo cats but I will say that I was told there is still the possibility of a CEL even with highflo cats.

You might as well just go cat-less. The dealership will see that you dont have stock cats (decatted or otherwise) as soon as they do your oil change.

i do my own oil changes and service lights re-set.
un-catted deposits too much fumes for my taste.

plus i dont want to reflash or make ecu mods to make the decat work.

I currently have MagnaFlow 53956 that I am getting ready to install when I put in my catless dp as I too have heard that HI Flow cats do add a deeper rumble and take away from some of the rasp we get when we install Downpipes on our platform. If I get this done before you do I will gladly get back to you with my findings!

I had 200 cell high flow cats and the sound was not much different from what I have now which are catless dp. I would say it sounded a little deeper but not louder. The exhaust pitch is higher with catless dp but it's the penalty for more hp and torque. The fumes/smell of the catless is more noticeable than when I had catted dp but only if you leave the car running in a closed area for a long time with the windows downs then you would notice it.

Catted dp won't increase the 'rumbling' of exhaust on C450 because the exhaust system is never be as good as the c43 amg performance exhaust. My advice would be to go catless with O2 sensor spacers on each dp, a tune to maximise your gains from dps and delete the mid resonator if you don't want to get an aftermarket exhaust. Catted will trigger CEL anyway so might as well go catless..

cant a tune get rid of the CEL ? I have Armytrix rear mufflers, so no need for the AMG PE.

looking to get the AMG PE "H-Pipe" and custom mate it to the dual armytrix mufflers as a future mod.

Yes an ECU tune will remove the CEL that is thrown by installing downpipes

If you just want to improve the sound then swapping 2x OEM cats for 2x Sports Cats is an incredibly expensive way to do it.
Supersprint ones cost €1800 per SIDE ! PLUS taxes and fitting on top. You're much better doing centre resonator or OPF delete if the latter is applicable.
I have a Eurocharged tune and OPF delete, it sounds amazing and is very fast.

wanted to see if thr hp/tq gains with a reflash is worth it in addition to sound.

supersprint is crazy expensive.

dont want to hack my exhaust if need to, i can always put the stock cats back if i sell the car.

i currently have a AMG sports exhaust with the 1 stock res and armytrix rear boxes and Y pipe.

Do you have just the mufflers? Or the entire ArmyTrix exhaust - I want more sound, but don’t feel like shelling out $4,500 to do so.

i have what would be called an "axle back"

Y-pipe and left and right rear muffler boxes with all the controller software.

got it from Facebook marketplace, gently preowned after a lease return.

what also makes the full system expensive is the midsection that leads off the cats. (the loooong part). its made out of titanium and does away with the 1 resonator seen on the AMG sports exhaust.

maybe they can sell you the axleback system without the mid section (to replicate what i have).
