Performance & handling mod wish list.
Being realistic, in an ideal World what are the performance & handling mods ( not cosmetic things like CF trim) ,you would like to fit?
Mine are:
Downpipe- CKS or Weistec Maybe
Ultra Racing F & R lower strut bars
H&R lowering Springs ( and camber kit to maintain OEM camber )
19" Forged HRE wheels & upsize tyres to 235 / 265 section F & R
( I already have a Eurocharged map) .

Besides a great tune (piggyback or ECU)
Can also add in
C450/C43 Turbo upgrade (Turbokits.com or Weistec),
Forged JE pistons
Total Seal piston rings
Forged 4340 Pauter Rods
Weistec 722.9 Transmission pan
...Ultimate “Xmas” wish list, but may not be realistic at this time with the market support of our model, but you did say “wish list” would be Weistec upgraded transmission, upgraded fuel rail, injectors and fuel pump 😁

There's still not even a decent CAI for this car yet ffs! At this stage, as its reached facelift, I can't see one being made either.
The BMS and MST are both flawed and yet to see anyone with objective proven gains on them.
BMW and Audi for example have countless CAIs available tough for most of their M / S / RS models.

I’ve been looking at the Ultra Racing front top engine strut bar. Is is that much thicker then our oem one? It only comes in white. If I get involved in this I will paint it black or red. I was looking at the female torx socket you need to remove it. Just ordered a set so I can find out if it’s easy to remove before I order. Any body have it on here?

They even have a mid chassis strut.

It’s expensive and would give a little tuner look to the car. My experience with under chassis bars has been bad. The car will be really stiff a lot of creeping and even worse in really cold weather.

A stiffer chassis is always better for both ride and handling.
The stiffer the chassis the more precisely the suspension can control the wheel travel, and less chassis flex means less creaking actually.
Given that the subframe are connected with rubber bushes, a stiffer connection will improve handling. Obviously there maybe be some extra NVH, but wouldn't any different to a stiffer C63 or E63.

I meant to say inexpensive. I did braces like these underneath my Camaro a long time ago. It will be stiff. Try it you won’t like it. Plus I’m not sure if there are any ground clearance issues. If the replacement strut brace is thicker and forged it can help with front chassis flex when turning hard or accelerating into or on a highway off ramp. We don’t have fat tires so no matter what we do we don’t have the footprint on the ground and we don’t have a wide wheelbase. Stiffening the chassis to that point is also going to slow the car down. Your upsetting the weight distribution and we might get more wheel spin on launch. I had that problem to in my Camaro.

I understand. It’s not the weight increase. It’s how ridged your making the suspension. A car needs a little travel for brake dive with emergency stopping and acceleration for weight transfer. Go ahead and buy and post back. I’m gonna get the strut bar. Paint in red or black. I’m just waiting on the socket. I want a DIY project.

Stiffening the chassis with braces, will reduce chassis flex.
Less chassis flex will allow the suspension to better control wheel travel, as wheel deflections will result in less flex of the chassis. Whenever the chassis flexes it takes the forces away from the suspension.
Therefore in your example on acceleration and braking, longitudinal weight transfer would be better with a stiffer chassis, not worse.

Is the former, how much beefier does it feel than the OEM ones?

You guys opinion. I like how it looks. Aluminum strut braces flex and twist under load. Does it do it on the C43. Maybe or maybe not. I’m happy. Building the car how I like it. I’m not gonna start putting additional braces everywhere. One and done. I will be onto the Renntech tune soon. Have PE exhaust and K&N air filters. OEM carbon fiber spoiler. I’m happy.

Damn you've literally got the whole set. Let us know how it feels after its fitted. But don't make other suspension changes- ie spring damper until you've 1st tested it with the struts only. Thanks.
