lol that's probably from lifting the wipers when cleaning and forgetting to put them down.
the hood is aluminum - i believe. just touch it yourself.

Either you left the wipers up and turned on the wipers or someone was trying to put slip something under your wipers and lifted too high.
Long story short, you got scratched. It won't be covered.

Candidly, I've owned the car for about a year and a half & never lifted the wipers. Well, at least now I know what it's from.

For what it’s worth, I just noticed the exact same thing on my 2017. I know I’ve never lifted the wipers unless I manually move them up the windshield to clea snow and ice out in winter. The size and spot on my car is exactly same as one in the picture. It can’t be a coincidence could it ?

Get the factory color code in a spray paint. Mask it really well. Really well. Blue painters tape. 2 or 3 thin coats. You will never tell the difference.

.Touch up paint is easier, cheaper, and better for this application. There is no reason to respray the edge.

Unfortunately this happened to my car cause of wipers
Touch up can mask it but it will never be perfect
