Eurocharged tune questions. V3 to V4 improvements?

Does anyone have any information on the improvements made from Eurocharged V3 to V4? I have found a dyno chart comparing stock to V1 through V3. I cannot find any information on the difference between V3 and V4 though. I looked for quite a while but can't find anything here or on the Eurocharged site.

After some research I was able to find out myself. I messaged with Jake Pedersen of EC Houston. He told me that EC Canada took the lead on the V4 tune development. I then contacted Vlad K, one of the tuners (I believe) of EC Canada.
Vlad K provided me with a dyno chart V3 vs V4.
V3 (Red)- 387 HP at 5150 and 420 at 3910
V4 (Green)- 393 HP at 5860 and 475 at 3320

I've upgraded from V3 to V4 but yet to get a dyno.
Got same 1/4 times and trap speed but better 0-60 , obviously that probably just a better launch.
But I've done an OPF delete which could release 15whp easily- they create a lot of back pressure. Similar results on the B58 in the Supra tuned by Litchfield.

So you did the OPF delete at the same time as the tune update?

Tune update 1st then OPF delete after.
haven't dyno'd or timed with the latter yet, expecting tangible improvement.
OPF is so dense you can't even see daylight throughout it from end to end.

Did you get any 0-60 or 1/4 mile times with the tune only? Did it seem to pick up at all?

Those filters are going to cause all kinds of issues for sure!

Is that a facelift? My pre-facelift is running V3 and put down 407 and 470. The numbers there for a V3 don't look right.

Nice times especially for a wagon! I imagine they are heavier than a Sedan? How much did your car pick up from V3 to V4 before you removed the filter?

Honestly the more I look at the dyno chart I just posted compared to the dyno charts I linked to the less this makes sense to me. I will chalk it up to different cars and weather conditions.

Agreed! It doesn't make sense the more I look at it.
He didn't say if it was post or pre facelift.

Probably a different make of dyno explains the difference.

V4 shows a very significant torque gain at 3k rpm!

They both say Eurocharged Canada.on the dyno sheet or screen shot. Looks like they were both done on the same Dynojet.

I received further information from Jake Pedersen.

V4 improvements. Slight increases in torque and Horsepower over V3. More linear power under the curve and some trans changes for shifting and overheating. Refined power on throttle feel.

My thoughts on the above information. It looks like they were able to get rid of the dips in the torque curve around 3k rpm and also carry hp further into the rpm range getting rid of the dip around 5-6k rpm. I didn't realize they were programming the TCU unless somehow they made changes to the transmission behavior elsewhere.

Is your C43 a 2019 or previous model? Did you ask if there were differences in the V4 tune for 2019 and previous models?

I have a 2018 C43. I did not ask about the facelift models.

Hey Guys I have a 2019 c43 facelift. I just got the car tuned at EC Canada. It dyno’d at 385whp and 480wtq.

They said for some reason the 19’ are making less then the previous years. There is a pretty sharp power drop off in the higher rmp range. They said there may be something extra added in terms of a filter or something in the exhaust that is too restrictive.

im taking my car back later this week for them to take a closer look and continue the development on the 2019. Would love the crack the 400whp on this car.

Thanks for the info.

I am also waiting for this to be “cracked” before getting the tune.

As I am out of country, there’s no way I can get EC to tweak my tune like you can. For me it’s downloading the tune off site, so it’s important to get the right tune the one time.

Please keep us apprised, we 2019 owners are depending on you! Haha.

Thanks my man.

I have an EU 2019 and on V3 it made 379 whp and 472 W TQ, similar to yours ( on UK 97 RON).
Mine was fitted with EU Mandatory OPF in the exhaust midsection which create a lot of back pressure in the exhaust.
This plus the fact that the tuners are still using maps for the Pre FL on the facelift cars- just tweaked, is the reason they're not getting the full potential out of them yet.
However I know US cars do not have OPF fitted and some one with a Renntech tune made the same torque but 400whp on a 2019.
I have since deleted my OPFs and got a V4 map but yet to do a new dyno run.
However my dragy times are the fastest I've seen for a tune only estate- 3.50 and 11.81 seconds 0-60 mph and 1/4 mile.
Looking forward to a new dyno and maybe see if they can squeeze any more power from it.

When’s the dyno scheduled for?

One thing to note - the OP is probably on V4 too. So maybe there might be not much difference in the end, I think V4 differences to V3 are mainly in the low end? I could be wrong.

haven't got one Booked in yet due to Xmas holidays.
Yes its supposed to be smoother. With the smallish turbos on the M276 massive top end gains aren't possible. But then that's why the low -mid range torque is so good and comes in so quick. Especially when tuned, it actually behaves more like a big displacement NA engine.

Here's a thought. If the OP wants to know if he has OPF in the exhaust, he could PM me his VIN and I could let him know.

I’m in USA on 93 octane. 19 c43. Renntech tune. Not even 100 miles and car has thrown cel twice. The kids are for o2 sensors running to rich. I’m waiting to see what they want to do. I went with them for reliability. I don’t want the car broke or cel all the time.

Thanks my man.

When I brought the car in I though the tune was fully developed on the ‘19, so was surprised when they showed me the lower numbers. It was the main reason I paid for the tune to get the 400+whp most pre ‘19s are making with tune alone. Anyways, I’m not too far from EU so bringing my car back for them to tweak is not a huge issue aside from the time waiting.

really hoping they can figure it it out and crack the 400mark. The graphs he showed me show the ecu power target on the high end, but actual was dropping off around 5500-7000rmp.

still really happy With the low end power/torque right now. It a daily driver so not racing the car.

sorry I assume only UK cars has the opf? Does North American cars have? I’m in Canada.
