Methanol kit
Hey all, for those of you running alcohol/meth kit, which kit are you using. The Mercedes specific kits are far more expensive than the “universal” kits so wondering what the differentiator is there? All input helpful. Thanks!

Using Snow performance stage 2 kit and it works great. Tank and pump mounted in the trunk with dual nozzles, one in each charge pipes. Weistec sell the full meth kit for our cars check it out thier set up is pretty good except for the small tank

Weistec charge pipes for reference. I have my spray nozzles installed in same but it's hard to tell from the photos I've taken

Former Vendor of MBWorld
The BMS WMI kits are fully compatible with the C43 for progressive control and safety, and we have a variety of clean tank/pump setups, use compression fittings in the engine bay, and offer a braided steel line engine bay kit for those interested. Only catch is you need to drill/tap for the WMI nozzles or find a way to mount them. 1/8" NPT.

It's crazy but I came here with the same question and also think I just figured it out. I couldn't understand why every WMI integration I've seen on this platform hooked up pre intercooler. I just realized the iat sensor is located at the end of the actual intercooler unit so integration into the plastic manifold (which would be so much simpler) would be post IAt sensor. At least that's my current theory. I know WMI can be after iat but perhaps specifically with our platform. Another issue might just be the lack of space given how close our intercoolers are to the engine intake. Any confirmation/thoughts would be appreciated.

I’ve had my eye on that intercooler for a while! Did they put the bungs on for you or did you fashion that yourself? I don’t see the bungs on their product site. Looks great though!
I also still think the large post intercooler pipe should be an option and I’m wondering if anyone e knows why it’s not used? Either IAT or inadequate space before for mixing but I’m not experienced enough to really know.

meth bungs are being prototype by me and will be manufactured by wagner. they do all the fab. will be available for an extra cost from wagner.
i am also putting a group buy together and can get a discount if people are interested.

My first set up didn't work because I had the injector nozzle installed on the inlet manifold pipe past the iat senor which wasn't good idea. Now I have dual nozzles, one each charge pipe.
I question if the ports on the Wagner intercooler are too close to iat sensor which doesn't not allow for the meth and charged air to mix properly to provide an accurate read to iat sensor. Weistec have thier ports in the charge pipes

What was wrong with the original setup? Was it a mixing issue or something else? You'd have to specifically tune for the meth setup like that and it has its advantages and disadvantages from what I understand, so interested to hear what went wrong

I had the specific meth tune from a local tuner but it didn't yelled the results expected because the location of the meth injector was wrong. The motor was getting the right temps and octane to run the tune safely but the iat sensor did not read these additions so the ecu did not make add any timing to make more power. So the whole thing was kind of pointless.
Now I'm working with eurocharged Canada on a custom dyno tune but I am waiting to get the intercooler to complete my setup, then I'll get final custom tune and then I'm over and done with this car

Not sure if you had this sorted. I got my Wagner IC from Martin Tuning www.MartinTuning.com as they’re a Wagner distributor. Also got my low pressure fuel pump from there.
I cannot recommend them enough. The guys over there are willing to help with just about anything and any manufacturer issues are followed up with immediately.
Hope that helps

Dan was very professional and knowledgeable.
Just ordered the LPFP, FX-180 and upgraded fuel rail. Looking forward to it.
Thanks for some good pointers on the WMI install.
