What's the going price for installing downpipe?
As the title states I'm really curious any help is appreciated happy labor weekend btw 😊 👍🏻2019 2020 c43 amg coupe ?

I'm really curious i got quoted 1k kinda steep unless that's the going price lol I would do this myself but I have no time I work to damn much smh 😑

those prices are in Cali where its illegal to even think about removing downpipes (seriously, even taking them off and then putting them back on is illegal)

Unless the downpipes come w a stage 2 tune then no 1K is ****ing stupid to put just downpipes on, whoever your going to clearly doesn’t respect you my brother lmfaooo and if your already stage 1 without downpipes atmost if even you would pay 500$ installation plus upgrade to stage 2 included please don’t go to these hipster shops that use the **** out of ig ads to lure innocent people with ridiculous claims just to overcharge them and abuse them don’t be that guy go to a certified spot and if your trying to put downpipes on without any Ecu tunes Then buddy your gonna have a ton of problems w sensors going crazy on your car lol.

depends on location but that seems extremely steep. My buddy near by got quoted $400, my guy quoted me $600, I did it myself for the price of two rhino ramps and an O2 sensor removal tool.

In the bay area some places are charging close to $200/hr. My mechanic who is an indy guy, amg guild certified charges $160/hr.
Downpipe install is a 2-3 hour job. $1K is highway robbery.

How many hours did they say it would take them? That is what I would specify when you get a quote. Get the hours and ask what their labor rate per hour is.
In the bay area some places are charging close to $200/hr. My mechanic who is an indy Thnx fguy, amg guild certified charges $160/hr.
Downpipe install is a 2-3 hour job. $1K is highway robbery.

Thnx for your input yes this shop was overcharging me I knew this from the beginning any reputable shops here in California if anyone could help i would really appreciate this i have yet to buy the downpipe for my c43 i wanted to go with weistec but don't feel like waiting I'm hoping eurocharge has them in stock and then go from there thnx for all your input guys lot's of goodies coming soon I'm already tune got spoiler rims downpipe soon then next turbo upgrade at 10k miles i hardly drive my car do to work 😑 I barely have 1500miles Im going on 5 months ownership smh 🤦♀️happy labor day fellas 🙌🏻😁👍🏻
Back to the install....finding a shop shouldn't be that hard, especially for a place that does exhaust systems and mufflers.

Don't overthinking this. Downpipes are simple pieces of hardware, I don't see the need to be super selective when it comes to picking out one. Have you looked on Ebay? There is almost always someone on here selling one. It's a metal pipe with or without a cat in it. Weistec has a cool little engraving on it that you'll never see I guess?
Back to the install....finding a shop shouldn't be that hard, especially for a place that does exhaust systems and mufflers.

I paid $500 for downpipe install but it only took them 30mins-an hour to take them off even when I drove 2 hours to get it installed. While I was there, I also got the Stage 2 DME Tuning, and my total was $1700 ish.

I just talked to eurocharge they are sold out and lots of vendors not selling downpipe because they are scared and they are cracking down on them smh thesearchcontinues and covid 19 not helping 🤦♀️😭🥺

Hey, to give you a quick update, I installed mine for about 400 Cad taxes in at a reputable tuner here in Toronto. Also got a quote from a reputable exhaust specialist for 350 Cad all in so keep looking.
