2017 C43 Distronic availability

Hi,

I am in the market for a used 2017 C43, and I am trying to find cars with Distronic (plus). This seems to be very difficult to do as in the original build guide it shows that it was part of the P04 package, but I cannot find ANY vehicles with the P04 package listed as options.

Is it possible to visually identify a car that has Distronic? I know that some vehicles have what appears to be a "standard" front emblem, and others have one that is a thicker emblem that looks like a radar sensor, with the MB logo over it. Are cars equipped with that style of front emblem representative of vehicles that will ALWAYS include Distronic?

Note: US market vehicle. Sedan. Sorry!

Thanks!

Yes. some call it a plastic emblem.
it' really nice driving on freeway when you sleepy, you don't have to worry about rear ended the car in front when put in cruise control.

So if the car has the plastic emblem, it definitely has distronic? Are there any other things I can check for in the vehicle? The reason I'm asking is I'm searching for vehicles all over and want to have the salespeople check before I travel to see a vehicle.

Thanks!

PFL205.064 with M276.823 (Oil pump solenoid defeated)
hmmm so to keep it simple:
All pre-facelift C43: (cuz facelift is different)
Vehicles with distronics is the flat mirror like mb star
Vehiles w/o is a 3D plastic chrome star
Interior wise left side (not on the steering wheel but basically below it and on the left side you will see a set of controls... if u notice a steering wheel icon button it has distronic.

Please see the image attached.
Side note, in Canada it is called the Intelligent Drive Package, that information is probably useless to you if you arent located in Canada but I will put this here incase u r.
Please let us know if you have further questions.

W205C43PFL is correct. OP I believe is also correct in that Distronic is only available in the P04 package for 2017. They change the packaging between refreshes/years so it can be confusing.

Thanks so much to everyone! Greatly appreciated.

Anyone have any additional thoughts on how well distronic works? I'd prefer to have radar cruise control as my past few vehicles have had it, but if it's not great on this car I don't necessarily want to spend the time looking for it.

It works really well. Remember this was developed/released in early 2010s, but it still holds up to even newer models in functionality. It's only beat by the newest model redesigns by other luxury brands (and Hyundai).

I use it 98% of the time on long road trips and works really well in stop-and-go if that is your case.

Thank you!

One last question (well, probably not). I'd also like the ventilated seats. I am struggling to find a reasonably priced vehicle with BOTH options. If you had to choose between Distronic and Ventilated seats, which would you choose (and why)? Does anyone have any opinions on this?

Thank you!

I don't have the ventilated seats. Living in the southern US I sometimes wish I had them, but I would still always pick the Distronic system if I had to make a choice.

DISTRONIC for me was pretty much a must ever since my last car with adaptive cruise control. I do a lot of long distance driving and it has been a boon to arriving relaxed at the destination. The seat ventilation is nice and I do like it a lot. Keep in mind that for 2017 the seat ventilation was not available in combination with the AMG Performance Seats. Not sure which seats you are aiming for. My priority were the AMG Performance Seats for my C63S and seat ventilation was a nice bonus now that it is available for the 2019+ models, but I would still have gotten the performance seats regardless of seat ventilation availability. It definitely helps avoid sweaty back syndrome, though.

It just takes a second to find if the car has distronic by looking for dual sensors on the windshield.

I thought it was dependent upon the front grille emblem more than the sensors on the windshield? I thought those were for the pre-crash assist or whatever it's called?

Thanks!

Its part of the package in Canada anyway. You don't see dual windshield sensors if you don't have flat benz front emblem. Single sensor for hollow front emblem.
