I got in an accident. Best way to fix minor damage?
Some idiot just rear ended me. I let him go because damage was pretty minor and I was not going to let my car get an accident in its history. I don't have time for arguing with insurance adjuster plus insurance company is never going to pay me a couple of thousand of diminished value for this so I am just sucking this up.
It is hard to tell if the plastic is dented or warped. That said, some buffing compound wax may get out the scratches and touch up paint may adequately cover the parts where paint was removed.
You shouldn't have let him go. At least get some money from him if you didn't want to go through insurance. Thats going to run you 1500-2000. Replacing the trim and repaint rear bumper.

This is infuriating. WTH are you thinking letting this go when you have dash cam footage? Dumbest thread I’ve seen in a while… Do not pass go, do not collect $200. In the event you exchanged information, I would call this person back and tell them you changed your mind.
Just be very careful that you can document what actually happened. We can tell you about a case where the person who hit us claimed later that we backed into therm in the middle of the street. And in another case, the first time we knew about anything in terms of damage was when we got a letter from the other party. Awfully easy to sue if the lawyer will take the case on a contingency basis.
If I was you I’d drive down, chase dude, drag him out his car and beat the absolute **** out of him, and then use logic after, the 43 is my baby if anyone ever did that they have another thing coming to them they gotta worry about, go to a good repair shop and they should have it looking as good as new, as for the guy that hit you make him pay for it.

Damage is pretty minor. Trim is not warped; it is just dented the dent is pushed into the bumper. Bumper paints also seems OK and the black scratch seems to be the paint of the other car. I'll figure something out but looking at it you would not notice any damage if you did not know where to look.
@AMGiggity lmfaoo your hilarious but fr tho bro like these guys (the other drivers) see a amg and start rushing from the back to keep up or stay close and what they don’t realize is that what if the amg slams its strong brake’s, the other car don’t got no Brembos obviously and this is what happens that’s why I don’t even gun it on normal roads, too many idiots on road but regardless just get it fixed it’s not major plus it will look brand new if you have a good person that knows auto body parts repair and buffing and etc
fam honestly it could’ve been worse, this is my buddies 2018 C43 coupe last year someone rear ended him so badly that his camera stopped going inside for his coupe and ruined his entire rear bumper so honestly count your blessing and thank the lord it didn’t get this bad you got lucky fr 🍀

I would not do this. An accident is an accident. If someone purposely ran into your car then of course thats assault. In the end its a material object. I agree a lot of people saved up and worked hard to own such a car, I would not let the other person off the hook financially (unless you are a millionaire in which case why are you driving a c43 lol?).
