Infant seat

Hello! My wife and I are expecting and I'm having second thoughts about my C43 sedan. her, my 7 year old daughter and I fit just fine but I wonder how it will work with a rear facing infant seat. My wife is 5'2 and petite but still.

I'm almost ready to knee jerk trade it on something bigger but I love the car. Sure we have her SUV but it would be nice to know we can take either car.

Anyone else have a rear facing seat in a W205 sedan and have any photos? Online reviews say it's ok but I'd like some first hand.

Thanks!

No pictures, but I have experience with this issue. I had a rear facing car seat for my daughter from time-to-time in my prior 2017 sedan and it worked okay behind the front passenger seat. My wife is also small (5’1”) and there was no issue with her leg room in the passenger seat. The front passenger seat will need to be slid pretty far forward, which I found annoying mainly from an aesthetics standpoint. In sum, it can be done but it is not perfect/ideal.

Once my wife bought her GLE, I sold the sedan and bought my current coupe. Car seats fit WAY better in the SUV, but it is much less fun to drive than a c43.

A newborn car seat would not be too bad in a sedan. The issue is when they quickly move up to the toddler rear-facing seat, those things are huge.

I'm this close to trading it on a new truck. I have experience with fullsize trucks and i mountain bike and play hockey and all sorts of things. I drive the wife's care for those activities because well..bike rack on a c43 is a no no. I just love driving my car though.

What I see, however, is for all of us to go somewhere is the car sitting in the garage. all. the. time.

Not perfect leg room for passenger but my girlfriend is on small side so no real issues.

Good advice. I just dont want to give up..yet. I guess I should just drive the C43 now and see what happens once kiddo is here. Worst case scenario, trips are in my wife's car and I daily mine!
