Cost of C43 AMG rear brake pads?
They then said it costs $1150 to replace the rear brakes. I am no expert, but in all the cars I've owned, I've never spent more than $300 dollars on replacing rear brake pads. According to Google, a rear brake pad replacement should also only be $265 - $371.
Anyone have any experience on this?

$700 to change rear brake pads/rotors? Please don't go that route lol they are robbing you. You can get aftermarket or oem rear brake pads from FCPeuro for under $100. I would suggest doing them yourself, youtube has a few tutorials on brake/rotor replacement for our vehicles. If you're not up for that just bring it to a trusted shop. I'm sure they will quote you way less than $1150.

Find a reputable indie but make sure they are experienced with MB. You have to do a few steps in service settings before you can replace the rear pads.
I may just go to a local European shop as well to get them done.
Thanks everyone!

You will have to do the steering wheel service procedure to retract the electronic parking brake before you do the work to the rears. FCP Euro for rotors, pads if you want, otherwise rockauto.com has carbon ceramic ones that do not dust and are quiet. Pick up 1 rear brake pad wear sensor from FCP Euro while you are in there. I was able to source all the parts for less than $650 for all of it and did it myself. Take your time and watch plenty of youtube videos of the process. Good luck! Don't forget to bed in the brakes after

My pricing was a couple of years old now, and with all that is going on, I'm sure the prices are higher, but I wrote how I did mine and the parts/prices in a couple of posts in the thread here:

It's been awhile since this question was asked, but I would like to share the cost I paid for replacing rear brake pads at Mercedes Benz of Calabasas in California. While having my B service at the dealer, rear brake pads at 2mm were replaced. The cost was $350 which I think is fairly reasonable. I am a woman and I do not work on car or DIY and thanks to the informative discussions on this forum, I know that I was not being taken by the dealership!

but it came with a lifetime warranty, but that covered defects only. Lol
im gonna burn through them in 2 years. Why would I want lifetime warranty.
If 4-Matic isn't sensing slippery conditions or aggressive driving, why would shutting off traction control make a difference?
Likewise, shutting off cruise control? Are you saying all those times the vehicle edges above the set speed it will apply the brake versus
letting engine compression bring it down? Thx!

traction control is so sensitive in this car, you'll be hitting a throttle cut or brake cut much of the time.
I went 45k without brake pads or rotors in first car and I'm at 35k in my second without needing brakes. I always turn traction off and hardly ever cruise control (I live in Florida so that's not a huge issue here).
they only replaced the pad and not rotor! I was told that we should always replace pad and rotor together for Mercedes’.
Orig discs all around. I will be swapping the front discs when I get the light, already have all the parts. You will need a disc spreader and there is ONE special nut to hold on the sensor, totally un necessary, but a little benz - oh you didn't want to do this yourself FU. Harbor freight has that one.
The rears were easy, only tricky part was the button push sequence on the steering wheel to push parking brakes in, and you still need to compress the pistons like any other car.
I read somewhere that the small holes in the disc, the ones not drilled through, are wear indicators.
The brakes don't strike me as much different than any others I've owned....and I had the overpriced brake job once at a BMW dealer, uh, nope, not again, thank you.
When I had my Audi S4 previously, the dealer said I needed to change both pads and rotors at 15,000 miles. I was dumb enough to listen and paid $700 for it. Later on, with a new boyfriend and checked with him, he said no just change it every other pads change. Dealers are notorious to scam, especially women.
