My first MB! But having second thoughts.
Purchased a mint condition 2018 C43 AMG with less than 39k miles for under $39k USD (with tax and everything). KBB values this car at ~$44k.
A lot of my friends mentioned this is a great deal, considering it has every package (Driver Assist, Performance Exhaust, Media, Wheels Have been 19 inch with NON Run Flats, etc)
But, now I am worried that I bought a car when the market is high, and the maintenance is going to be something to worry about? Just want to hear from owners the reliability and resale value of a C43 AMG (Assuming I ever sold it to say a year later at 50k miles or so). The maintenance history was great on the car, along with no accidents, is what made my take the jump to my first MB!
Car is AMAZING and very fun to drive, but just want to clear that voice in my head.

I don’t know what car you had before the MB or if you did your own work on it.
Service at the dealer is expensive. Be sure you are sitting down when you get the quote. I was quoted 1,000 per axle for a brake job. The rotors cannot be turned but have to be replaced if out of spec.
best to do the work yourself if you can or find a reputable independent shop. If you are in the Chicago area I have a recommendation.

Maintenance is cheapest if you DIY. Do you DIY? An independent shop is next cheapest, and the dealer is the most expensive.
If the car is out of warranty, use an independent shop or DIY.

Basic wrenching is pretty straightforward and easy on this car. The most common issues have generally been fleshed out by other MB models that utilize the same or similar M276.xx engine. Oil changes are easy and can be done the traditional pull the plug and drain method, or oil vacuumed out via dipstick tube. Filters are all easily serviceable. Tires, brakes, and oil changes will be your most common expense. If you're willing to DIY the brakes and oil changes, you'll more or less offset the cost over time of anything else that might creep up. YouTube videos are out there, though not plentiful. Search the forums and you'll have a hard time finding yourself in uncharted territory.

My 2017 has 106,000 Kms and it’s been the least expensive car I’ve owned from a regular maintenance perspective. As others have stated oil, brakes are very simple to do, I’m not that mechanically inclined and survived thus far. It’s the longest I’ve ever owned a car and I still enjoy starting it up and driving it every time, and in my opinion the car does not “look” like a 6 year old car. You made a wise purchase, enjoy it!
