Does anybody know if there is or could be coding on w205 American models that would prevent a DRL color board/chip from being able to change the color of the light?

I would assume if I put the board in should work
I know it works on EU models

i'm curious too. There is a way to change the DRLs? I wonder if the Canadian ones can be changed.

Sorry for the late response. I was trying to say if I replaced the board Is there something in the drl or in the cars programming that would stop the board from working and being able to color

I don’t know much about all the electronics in my car.

but I got the wrong board sent to me so I’ll continue to wait and post when I get ‘em in

From what I have seen, it looks like the DRL with LED can change colour and already have multiple coloured LED installed by MB. I see that you can change it with a module hack installed.

I've seen the RGB drls but do they stay any color you want while driving or do they go back to white while driving. I have a 2019 c43 sedan but I can't find a part or anyone running the rgb board for the multibeam led headlights.

Some boards will allow them to stay a color but it’s probably illegal to drive that way.
but only get a ticket if they catch u. Lol

I'm willing to risk it as long as I can turn it to any color at any time lmao. Yes I have the ILS if that is the same thing as the Multibeam LEDS. Mine look like the ones you sent in the picture. Do you have a link for the rgb boards for our headlights?

@Prodbyjr u order these?
They install looks simple but i can’t get them to work properly
They are reacting really strange
one side is orange the other is colored and controllable, but when I turn the car off they both are colored and controllable

Hey,

I have not purchased them yet but that is what I was worried about. I haven't seen or heard anyone running them while driving and on top of that I haven't seen anyone run them with the multibeam ils headlights.

It will always be on. I’m still working with Infinate, to figure out if the board or a loose/bad wire is causing a intermittent issue
