I'm South Korean.
I'm riding the C43 AMG model(W205)

There isn't much information about this vehicle in Korea, so I'm trying to get help from the forum here. A week ago the engine started making strange noises. Is there anyone who has experienced the same sound or symptom as mine, or has solved this problem?

I am attaching a video that will help you guys solve the problem with this vehicle.

It is similar but, the sound is little bit different with my engine noise.

I will open the car bonnet, take a video, and upload it again.

I see, if you can pinpoint the approximate location, forum members like us might be able to help, your grille is a custom grille right, just want to make sure you have a W205 and not the new W206.

Hmmm, unless I am missing something but that car does look like a W206, I don't recall ever seeing that type of blue on a W205, might be my device making the blue look different though.

Hmmm, so I went on your country's site for some reason I couldn't find the W206 C 43, surprised it wasn't sold there? In that case, pretty much confirmed your car is a W205, but then that blue though. Let me try a different device, might be some sort of screen filter on my phone causing the blue to look different.

I tried to take a video by opening the car bonnet, but the noise disappeared, perhaps because the weather was warm recently.
But this morning I noticed the sound again.

The W206 model was released late in Korea. I am driving a W205 model.
The color appears a little more blue because of the cell phone camera lens.

I'll take a video again and upload it when the noise comes back.

You're most welcome, all trying to help. Hopefully your new video will provide us all some insight.

To me it sounds like something is loose and rattling. You need to find where in the engine department the sound is coming from as from the outside of the car, it will be harder to track down.

OP, is the sound audible when all doors/windows are closed and when you are in the cabin? Is the sound ever present when revving on a standstill or when driving?

When I start the car and the engine heats up to a certain degrees. It starts making noise.

Even if all car doors and windows are closed, sound still slightly enters the car.

There is no engine noise while driving, and it only make a sound when stopped.

Also, when the engine is fully heated. there is no sound

Is the sound there if climate control is not set to recirculation (can you clearly hear it also piping through the vents?), asking because the fan outside will open its cover for fresh air which then some sound might enter the cabin that way.

I turn off my car air conditioning system most of the time.

Noise is heard from the top of the engine. It seems to be the turbo line.

I really don't know where the sound is coming from.. This noise really bothers me..

Engine oil level confirmed is correct? Are you talking about the rapid tapping/ticking sound when you point your camera towards the right side of the engine?

I think I hear what u don’t like.
I think a lot of our cars make strange noises
mine ticks louder

But it gets better when it’s warmed up🤷🏻‍♂️

I did not check the car engine oil level. I will definitely check it out today.

ah! I'm not talking about tapping/ticking sounds.(Is the engine sound strange? I feel like this part is not much different from other engine sounds.

I know it is difficult to determine what the problem is unless you directly see the engine condition.

I plan to go to the repair shop soon for an inspection.

Once I figure out this problem and solve it, I will post what the problem was here on the forum.

The injector ticking is making hearing it very difficult but interesting sound indeed as it sounds like a diaphragm moving after the 30 second mark you mentioned.

Yes, it is really strange noise.

Hmmm, you checked the pressure transducer and it is not at all that right (I understand you mentioned it doesn't sound exactly like the other threads I linked)? Does it happen when engine is first started cold or only when warm? I remember in a previous post, you said it is not there when warm, so it might be trim related, could it be some plastic expanding and making contact under the hood when it is warm?
