Sounds like you were looking for an excuse not to purchase it.

Lol yeah. Their first pass offer was $10,000 over their list price. I told them I'd consider an extended warranty and financing some part of it if it helped reduce the cost. Their offer included financing at 12% (which they tried not to disclose by just showing me the payment only), a $5,000 warranty, $700 "doc fee", $1,000 for shipping (only a 12hr drive so I know that is padded) and a few other bogus upsells that are basically like 80% margin for them.

In a typical dealership turn of events, they called me back, slashed the price, and I'll have a C43 on its way to my house this week, lol.

Haha, congrats and welcome to the family. Can you post that dealership link that you removed from the original post again now that it is official? There were pictures and specs listed.

The Saga continues... I requested some hi-res photos of the car prior to closing because I am buying without seeing it in person, and the shots on the website are so compressed. I always thought the paint in those photos looked pretty dull, but I figured it was dusty/dirty, so I asked for more. When they arrived, it was clear that the car had been wrapped, which was a bit interesting given it is a Polar White car with under 10k miles. So I was worried about what might be underneath that wrap, and I don't want a matte white car anyway. They agreed they would take the wrap off for $500, and if there were any issues with the paint they would unwind the deal and refund the money. So now we are defining what "issues" means and who I am going to hire to go over there and inspect it once it's off. :P

Ew... these stealerships and I thought they couldn't be worse, I think that is a good sign that there is something better coming your way though, perhaps there is a even better spec/condition online that is waiting for you?

I mean a wrap is pretty obvious, and the VIN will obviously tell what colour it is, or the colour code will appear on the door jam, shame on them for not disclosing that. Whatever you buy next time, make sure to get a PPI done (Pre-purchase inspection), I assume you already know that though but just in case, I mentioned it.

As for if you need a C 63, it really depends on you, for me I chose the C 43 over C 63 mainly because of snow (need 4MATIC) and that I like to daily cars and not park them in my garage all winter. I understand some owners daily their C 63 in the snow as well, but I admit I am not as experienced as those who are capable of doing so.

Yeah I normally always get PPI on used car but given this was so low miles and factory warranty remained I was less concerned but probably should still do it anyways if this comes up again.

Ya, that's a good idea.
