wow... i'm really getting confused of my next purchase
E55 for about mid 50's to low 60's in the next few months
or wait for the C63 with new style, new interior, updated suspension, lighter and probably just a quick.. due to the new 7sp
If I was a betting man, I think the C63 won't be out until next summer, while the new C class w204 hits lots around spring..
I like the E55 for its power and overall luxury, but I think I want to venture away from another kompressor motor. Too many variables (heat, IC pump, humidity)
I'm thinking the C63 will pump out about 440hp and about 440lbs of torque. The CLK is pumping out 475hp and 465lbs, which have similar platforms.
I can see the C63 detuned from 500 to 420. It would be a waiste.

Why doesn't anyone think it will have the same numbers as the CLK63? Is that just unheard of? Anyway, I'm thinking the C63 won't be available in the US until spring 2008.

Wow, can't wait to see the final product.
I would agree about the C63 having the same hp as the CLK63, except for one issue. If the CLK63 is gonna go for 90-100k, then the C63 would have to probably be in the 80's. For a base AMG model, that might be too expensive. To make it cheaper they just detune it (which sucks). I wonder what they did to detune it from the full 500+hp. If it was something like more restrictive exhaust and less aggressive timing or something then it could be very easy to mod it into the full 500+hp. Or maybe AMG is just giving us lower hp figures like they did with the E55 vs the SL55 (dynos showed that they were around the same hp). These upcoming months will be very exciting for Mercedes enthusiasts like ourselves.

as of today clk63 price is still TBD by mbusa.com
So i think MBLN will adjust the price once the base price is out. Maybe MBLN is just trying to use the opportunity for now.

Noticed the side rearview mirrors are "detached", just like the facelifted E class. Looking at the relation with the surrounding elements, I always think w203 side mirrors are sitting about an inch too low.

So ItalianStallion was right. I thought the dealer was only "taking the opportunity" to sell high until MB releases the MSRP.

When i bought my C55 it didn't come with bi/xenons as well, i really don't understand why MB don't put this as a standard option on a car this expensive. And don't tell me it's an expense to them COME ON!
