Waiting for W204 Facelift
I'm aware that the pics above are of European model, but lets analyze the exterior differences between AMG vs US non AMG sport model:
1. Hood
2. Front bumper / spoiler
3. Front fenders
4. Grill (this one comes with chrome surround)
5. Side skirts
6. Trunk spoiler
7. Rear apron
And of course we'll get a pair of amber sidemarkers here in the US.

Whoaa.... thats a gorgeous chunky little motor, come on lotto numbers, the only way I'll ever get one in my drive...
p.s. I like the star grille, doesnt look chavy like the aftermarket ones. The bonnet bulges are awesome too. Where's the estate version? I think it would be a great seller, kick the BMW well into touch and give Audi a bit of competition.

EuroCharged 2012 C63 BS Coupè
I am a little taken aback by 55K GBP price tag. I am being told I should settle in around $$82/85K CAD. 55k GPB is $117K CAD. Thats a $35K delta.....Did you order the Performance Package? Maybe that is the difference. I am told we probably won't get it in Canada. (I'll have to settle for a Kleemann LSD and ECU upgrade)

Sounds about wrong to me! How do you figure that? The 2006 C55 was based priced at $55 and the C63 base price should be less than $60k and mostly loaded at $65k if there is a gas guzzler tax. Don't let the HP and performance numbers fool you and don't try to convert those Euro prices either. New engines and HP bumps do not put that much into the new price. Do some research.
The C63 will still be competitively price with the BMW M3 and Audi S4.
The all new bodied 2007 S550 got 80 more HP over the W220 2006 S500 and the base price was the same. The 2003 E55 with new body and new blower and 120hp over 2002 E55 and the base price raised from $71k to $76k.

2006 C55 AMG, 2.8L Quattro, Softail Nostalgia 1550 (Stage III), Sporster (slammed)
I was just converting the CDN quoted dealer price above to USD. $82K CDN is about $78K USD. Personally I'd like to see it within a few thousand of the 2006 C55 pricing but the new E90 V8 M3 pricing is supposedly in the mid $70Ks. I would assume the C36 will be similar. We see one North American quote above that puts them well into the $70Ks on this continent. So maybe we'll see them for $69K base MSRP in the States (if we're lucky) and with options, OTD maybe $75K. Not bad considering the guys in the UK are stuck paying $112,000 for it (and then stuck putting $6/gal gas in the beast). And it will be compared to the RS4, not the Audi S4. The field will be the E90 V8 4.0L turbo M3, RS4 4.2L NA V8 and the 6.2L NA C63. The ante to get in the game will be over 400 hp but under 500 hp. The S4 is more than 100 hp down from that field in the low 300's. For comparison, the RS4 will run you into the low $70Ks as well. I just get the sinking feeling we won't see any C63's sitting on lots with prices that start with a 6.

That keeps us in the ballpark with the C55 pricing

FYI, the M3 is the E92 chassis:
"The BMW E90 automobile platform is the fifth generation of the BMW 3 Series range of entry-level luxury/compact executive cars. The car is also available as a station wagon/estate (designated as E91), coupé (E92) and coupé cabriolet (E93)."

03 S55 AMG
Pricey
I'd say $70K is going to be real pricey for an "entry level" M or AMG. For the budget minded wait until March when BMW brings their 135i to North America. This little pocket rocket is going to be smaller than the 335 with the same twin turbo 300 hp six. Cost starts @ $33K and will come with the M Sport wheels, suspension and bodywork. Options being leather, HK sound, Nav etc.

to be competitive - My guess $59K base price not including destination or gas guzzler tax. Adding the other will push it up to $63k.
