BMW M6/Cayenne Turbo
The faithful are disenchanted. The 997tt is the same old thing and the porschephiles are not snapping up the new models unless it's the GT3s or RS'. My dealer has had the same four turbos over 90 days, so it has not been a huge sale sucess they'ver been accoustom too for a new model. I've owned a lot of porsche's and the arrogant Swabbians brag they make over 23,000 profit per car which is the highest in the auto industry. I'm not going to be contributing to their profitability anytime soon. Why the Cayman S' are 70k and the dealers have to sell 10 of them for every turbo. For those who are more performance driven then posser,...do you want cutting edge technology or modular engined Cayman or 911 which are not the quaility that porsche built its reputation on. The GT-R car will take sales from porsche, I guarantee it.

All. It's fast...it's high-tech...it has a rich history (for those who follow Nissan's or JDM)...it's has a awsome price-tag for it's performance...and it takes out the big boys who cost alsmost 2x...and it's looks to be a good DD...atleast for me...not much more you can ask for in a car unless you're a brand ***** or you want luxury IMO. I'm really torn between this and the C63.

But remember there is a finite amount of power that is beneficial at the ring. Many say anything over 500bhp just slows you down as the track is so bumpy. Compare the Skyline to the Carrera GT on a modern, sweeping track and they won't even be close. I'm not hating on the skyline but lets keep things in perspective.
Agreed with the tuneability of the turbo though. That's why I'm on the list for next year's RS6.

As for a sport vehicle the Skyline GTR and for luxury Sport sedanthe C63. As a Mercedes Benz fanatic I would have to go with the C63. Don't get me wrong I'm sure that GTR is impressive on all over performace, even taking corners than the C63.

Screw the Skyline. I don't care how many hp's the Japanese can pump out, Jap cars are a no-go zone for me.
I'm a Merc man till I die, so if I had the money for either of them, the C63 in a heartbeat. And no regrets!

Yeah, it does, read a wiki or maybe even read this thread, before making poorly informed statements. The Skyline has been around in some form for 38 years, and is the Japanese equivalent of our Corvette. The R34 beat the 996 Porsche Turbo around the Nurburgring when it dropped, and the new one beats up the 997 Turbo. There is absolutely no comparison between the performance of the C63, or any other 63, with the perfrmance of the new Skyline. It's meant to do one thing, and one thing only, and that's embarass almost every German car out there.

Including a Koegnisegg and 911 on the "ring"...
At the end of the day, the C63 will accelerate just as fast and hard. Also, on the street, you will NOT be able to tell a difference in handling whatsoever. So what difference will be evident? Plastic interior, squeaks, wind-noise, road-noise, the attention you draw from teenagers [who WILL put fingerprints all over your car looking inside] vs. professionals [who appreciate an AMG].

But you are right, most people will not use the extra performance that the GT-R will provide...just like Porsche 911's, BMW M's, and exotic cars. Nobody really uses these cars to their full potential on the streets because its not needed. This is a car for that small group...that band of psycopaths who need every last bit of performance to quench their thirst for domination.

Probably after I get this car I'll grow up and go back to luxury lol...or become so accustomed to it that I'll get ruined for life and be forced to buy in this performance range.

If you're taking turns at a buck 50 the handling and stability will definitely be noticed and could be the difference between life and death. I realized this when my friend was in his M3 going around a curve on the highway at 140 and at 125 I felt like my car was gonna break loose and fly into the divider.
This is my point. Yes you may be able to tell when taking a turn at a buck 50 BUT how many times do you think 99.999% of the owners of either car will do this and why are you doing this on a public road?
Kinda like the S2000. GREAT track car. They now have the "CR" edition that will be even more of an absolute track monster. This same track monster will be a horrible "test drive" car. On a street will not be any faster or handle any better but on a track will be night and day.
No matter how reckless you drive on public roads, you still cannot compare car capabilities like on a track. Asthetics aside, for street driven use the GTR and C63 are 6 in one and half a dozen in the other in the performance dept.

C63 is more mature but still completely badass and muscular. Blazing acceleration, comfortable (compared to a real sports car), 4 doors.
I'm young and want a 2 door, plus I love the potential of twin turbos and I plan to have lots of fun with this car. To put things into perspective, I was between getting a 996TTX50, E92 M3, and the new GT-R. The GT-R just does it for me.
The C63 is probably my favorite current Benz and if I had the money, I'd ****** one up in a heartbeat.
