AWD does help a tremendous amount, but it is still quicker. I'm sure a quick ecu mod will send numbers upwards of 600hp easily. Just look at how quick the 335i's have become..its ridiculous.

Nissan claims that it will be producing 12,000 a year....I have no idea of being able gauge if that is a lot, but some guys on other forums say its close to being mass produced with that production number.

While both cars are fast, the GTR is certainly faster.
BUT, drive the c63 and you'd be able to show up at a drag track on one night, and at a formal gala the next night and still be able to fit in well in both environments. The GTR will fit right in at the track or at a hot rod meet, but will be akward driving up to your next business meeting in.

If I was nineteen and want to impress my buddies and kill everything else on the block, I'll take the GTR.
If I was a young profesional looking for a fast yet classy car, the C63 will fits my need better.

Buy the GTR is you want to impress the guys. Buy the c63 if you want to impress the girls. They don't care how fast a Nissan is, they just see the pointed stars on a Mercedes. I know many of us don't buy cars to impress girls but it's as good a reason as any to drop 70k....

That 12k a year worldwide is not a rare #. My C36 from 95-97 yrs only 5200 worldwide. Less then a 1k in the USA. Now thats rare.

+1. It was a joke. I was just saying that we like to impress girls (instead of boys). It doesn't have anything to do with what we use as a tool.

Don't forget to factor in the GT-R's are going to be way, and I mean way, over MSRP...bidding wars have already started just to be in line to purchase.

I like impressing girls, but not with my car. Maybe unlike you i don't need my car for my game (i'm jking )
C63 and GT-R are two DIFFRENT cars. If you ask me it's there with C63 vs. RR Sport. GT-R is a sick car, so is the C63. People need to stop being brand ******. I sure don't buy a car becuase of the badge on the grill.

The R35 GTR is no joke at all. They are already hitting 0-60 in 3.3 second and 1/4 mile runs of 11.6 seconds... That car would easily be a 10 second car with BPU alone. Only problem they're gonna have is transmission heat. They already complained about it heating up to much after 2 launches... can only imagine what will happen with 100 extra horsepower.

HAHAHA

I love it! Couldnt agree more.. I nearly slapped an arrogant fool who was trying to pass off owning my benz outside a club by leaning on it and talking on his phone.. boy did he feel stupid after talking to people about "his" car and i walked up to him and asked him to show little respect by not leaning on other peoples ****e.. I also have cream interior on black HEHEHE crowd reaction is priceless! I dont care what kind of nissan it is.. it doesnt have the same pedigree.

A bias opinion perhaps?

**I should add.. much respect for the blistering pace of the GTR.. theres no doubt about it, the japs do make a pretty fast rice machine...

LOL I had someone do this once. He was standing next to my E55 talking on his phone and nodding at girls as they walked by. I was annoyed so I waited for the next group of women to walk by him and when he nodded I hit the panic button on the remote and yelled get the ^&*( away from my car loser. You should have seen him jump when the alarm went off.

Woah woah woah. Let's not get too hasty now. From what I've seen, yes, it overpowers the M3 by a large sum on the spec sheet, and marginally in a straight line race, but outperforming as a whole? Don't think so. So far it seems that the M3 is still the fastest around a track and best at performing the Jekyll/Hyde routine. It's close, but it's not a "flat out" this beats this sort of thing.

Had to clarify...that was bothering me.

Yeah the GTR is fast and looks nice... but you can get a better looking C63 for less and give a GTR a good challenge. Straight line GTR has it, But unlocking the C63 engine to full 550HP I think the C63 will give the GTR trouble. Either way I rather get the C63 or used E63 for under $75k.

Also, the feeling you get when in the AMG cockpit will blow away the plastic feel you get when you're in a Nissan. Craftsmanship is just way better in the benz.
The funny part is the new C has a very plastic interior and the GTR has a partial leather dash lol... I think the nissan wins in that dept. But it does "LOOK" cheaper design/shape wise. But thats not to say the C is doing better at all. I was pretty dissapointed at the interior of the new C.

I however like both cars for different reasons but just cause they're almost the same price doesn't mean they're comparable. At this point I dunno which I'd choose.Really depends on if you want power and a marque or Awesome perfomance and be low key.

Hard to say. Some rumours have that Nissan will be TIGHTLY controlling any mods through the ECU. Even so, assuming people will get around any electronic Nissan policing... it takes a solid 500hp to turn the reported 11.6 @ 120.9mph. To just barely slip into the 10s (10.9 @ 127mph) takes at least 600hp. An EASY 10 second run would imply 10.8 or even 10.7 at probably 130mph the latter needing a good 650hp. Certainly reasonable considering the platform.

Compare for yourselves...

GTR

C63

C63 interior looks more luxurious to me. I think the steering wheel especially blows away the GTR's. Intrument cluster and knobs also look more rich and luxurious.

The GTR's interior looks just like a 350z or G35 to me. Only thing that makes it better than the 350z and G35 are the leather recaro's. That's a very nice improvement.

I'm not looking at the leather dash. I'm looking at the cockpit as a whole. Leather on the dash might be a negative anyway seeing as how it's very hard to maintain. 10 years from now it'll be all dry & cracked up.

I know everyone has their own opinions, here's mine:

Nissan: Calls attention to the ventilation with large silver rings which takes away from the dark buttons on the center console with analog looking climate control. +1 on the large rally style gear select. Smaller GPS screen, steering wheel buttons not as easily accessable (some are way too low), center of steering wheel looks plastic. Shifter looks like any other shifter I've seen in a Nissan.

Benz: Ventilation is integrated well and doesn't call out "Hey, here I am," attention is called to the buttons, controls, digital climate control, i-drive style Command Conrtoller. Tachometer and center guages look more upscale with a minimal amount of chrome as an accent, +1 on flip-up large nav display, Steering wheel and ease of use without removing your hands are right on, +1 on the aluminum paddle shifters, shift knob with leather boot looks more upscale. Crafsmanship and functionality more thought about.

When you're in a Benz, you feel like your in a luxury car.
When you're in a Nissan your in a Nissan, Even a 75k Nissan.

Love GT-R, except 1 of the 7 newly arrivals in Hong Kong totalled before it reaches the hand of the owner.
It could be a careless salesman, a careless test driver, but it
could also be the C63 is a much user friendly car.
I have not had a doubt my 367hp C55 is a very safe car which performs too.
