Looks like the boys are at it again. They're taking the AMG, M3, and the RS4 and comparing them back-to-back it seems.

Looks like it will be an awesome episode!

All you have to do is hang out at one of those bimmer forums. This upcoming program has been talked about in every other forum but here. Maybe MBW peeps are just mature enough to be able to judge which one of the three is the best overall.

1) C63
2) M3
3) RS4

I know that the M usually beats the AMG on the track, but this time is different. Mercedes took many very aggressive steps to take the lead on this, and I truely belive they got it

Those Top Gear episodes are not aired in the U.S.

The ones in the U.S. BBC Channel are old episodes from previous seasons.

C63 will win, since he surprisingly picked E63 wagon over M5 touring.

The S4 (not RS4) kicked the M3's butt the last time Top Gear compared them, Car magazine also had a test between the RS4 and new M3 which the RS4 won. I think the next RS4 will give the M3 and C63 a hiding as well, especially if the rumours are correct and they put the RS6 twin turbo V10 in it.

If this is what you're talking about I'd hardly call it a "butt kicking".

No such rumor exists. Anyway, the next RS4 is four years away....

I beg to differ, the rumour is doing the rounds of Audi dealerships in Norway and when I was in Aberdeen last week the sales guy I spoke to was talking about the next RS4 and how it's believed that the new A4 has been engineered to fit the V10 from the RS6. It think that fits the critera of a rumour if you ask me.

I also believe the RS4 will turn up earlier than expected.

I really doubt they would put an engine like that in the new RS4. That would be ridiculously expensive and probably price them out of the range of the C63 and M3 (considering the fact that the current RS4 is already more pricey). If the RS5 gets the V10 Lambo engine as rumored, I can envision the new RS4 just TT'ing the current RS4 engine (who knows, it's all just speculation right now).

There hasn't been much mention of the B8 RS4 anyway, I just don't see it coming very soon. The rollout schedule for Audi didn't even have it listed in their lineup, and that went through 2012 (if it's accurate). If we are to believe Audi when they say their RS models will come after two years of new model releases though, a 2010 or 2011 B8 RS4 is possible.

The cost of producing an engine is entirely driven by the volume. When the V10 was just a Lambo motor, they were making a handful at a high price. But once they plug it into the RS5, the volume will pick up and costs per unit should drop. That said, I've also heard that Audi is bringing back the twin turbo concept.

Typo. I think you mean RS6.

RS5 is rumored to have a TT V8, though personally I don't see what's wrong with the NA V8 in the B7 RS4.
