only $56,000 base MSRP!!! With Nav, it's $59,315. A lot cheaper than I thought.
C63 & M3 will cost over $70k with options. Damn.

dont buy the nav...cant use it while driving unless using voice control and it sucks...also, a lexus is a toyota, and compares in no way, shape, or form with a benz...or bmw if you choose to go down that road...as i like to say, bm trouble you, or bmw backwards, wmb, want mercedes benz

Quite the eloquence here.
And yes, that 56K Toyota will smoke the living the daylights out of the oh so prestigious, reliable Mercedes Benz E350, and even my C32.

Oops, Sorry. I guess I didn't read the details. After all what posts? I only see about 4 in this thread. I thought (for some reason) it was just a supp'd up v6. I guess I was thinking about the GT-R

dang.. the IS-F is certainly trying to take over the super sports sedan market. 56k for a car that looks good, goes fast, and, if following toyota's/lexus' trend, be very reliable. that leaves a lot more money for mods too

It's got the numbers, but IMO doesn't have the looks...
And who knows, Toyota has had more and more recalls lately, they just handle it well.
Lets hope the IS-Fs don't suffer a shipping accident like the new M3s did, otherwise it'd become one rare car!

Has anyone seen Audi's commercial talking about Lexus? Defiantly agrees with my view of them. Don't get me wrong the IS-F does look appealing, but it's no king of sports cars just doesn't carry enough pedigree like the German three.

In terms of pedigree I think Audi is still a notch below MB and BMW. Remember the events in the 80s with the famous incidents of AUDI vehicles? They are making a nice comeback, especially with the RS cars and R8, but I will never in my right mind buy an A6 over an E/5, or an A8 over S/7 unless they are at least 10% cheaper.

Very good price... I almost bought the IS when they first came out after I saw the ALTEZZA in London in 2000 but I'm glad I didn't. The IS looks very outdated compared to the w203 C-Class. And the C holds it's value better.
They IS-F does look better than the older IS300/Altezza. But it's not exciting.
I believe the C63 will be close to the 56K base and 63k loaded (perf. package) mark as well. They need to release pricing soon...

you can get an M3 for the same price and know that BMW wont have another M3 out for at least 7-8 years so your car wont get outdated and lose its market value.
The lex will have 3 new gens before the next M3 comes out.
you can get a decent loaded M3 for 65k and ***** out loaded for like 69k
