Very well done Kevin.
Disagreed.
The proportions with those 20's look just right. Go ahead and order a set of HRE Competitions in 18 or 19's for the C63. Waste of $6k, because a)the stepped lip makes the wheels look very small and b) why would you buy a set of aftermarket wheels the same size as stock?
I don't want to hear performance this and performance that. You don't spend $6k in wheels to gain perfermance IMO.

I must admit, I didnt think those M40's would look that good on the C63, but holy cow, looks great, was the car lowered? What size of 20's are they, and offset if you will, please. Congrats, I think you are the first one of us to customize this car.

I have to agree...I didn't think the M40's would look good either as I've seen them on the CLS and didn't think they fit the 4 dr sedans as well as the CLK 63 BS, but I have to say it looks good. Personally, I would paint em satin black though I'm still going to go with a lip though, but a non stepped lip!

20's look better than I would've thought. It fills in the fronts perfectly. The rears get swallowed up. If you can adjust the rears and settle with a more raked look, then I think we have a winner.
Post up some pics with pov looking down the side, from back to front. I imagine with the humped out flares at each wheel well, these HREs hit the spot. Even better, though, would be a set with a nice subtle lip.

I stand by my statement. The 20's look perfect on the car. Perfect proportion.

Looks vs Perf
You're talking looks and UltraSuperDudeS is talking perf. The 20's do look great but no way they'll survive real world driving unless you happen to live in a garden spot with perfect roads. The 19's would be as far as I'd go to balance looks and performance.
