Finally pics/review of my C63
Alright sorry it took so long for me to post this thread, been waiting on the car to be shipped to me as well as the internet in my apartment to be fixed. Anyway so the car is AMAZING its more than what i expected
...yeah 12 miles to the gallon
Body Styling
I mean theres no other way to put it than bad ***, it looks a lot better in person than it does in pictures and i always thought that it looked sweet in pictures. I think it looks great in black, however in pictures the color seems to hide the lines of the the car which is not the case in person (prolly why mercedes used white for their test cars/ official photos ect) I had my back tail lights smoked and the left and right front turn signals but i left the rear reverse lights alone. The rims on it are the 40th anniversary CL65 AMG rims 19'', and the front/back windows are 20% tint. Its illegal in California/Wisconsin but i think it looks so **** that its worth the ticket.
Transmission
Its great, shifts are lighting quick, and down shifts are really smooth...way better than what i expected, its by far the best AMG transmission that ive ever driven (2008 CL65, SL65) its really a pleasure to drive the car in "M"
Exhaust
Its really bad (in a good way), when i start it up people turn their heads. When i 1st got the car i was at a gas station with my buddies and i was revving the engine so we could hear the sound and some guy from the other pump walked over and told me that it sounded like a "race car."
Engine
The engine is great, its one of those cars that feels more powerful than its output. I've had some experience driving some really fast cars and the 63 feels faster than other cars that ive driven that are 500hp which i account to the stupid torque numbers. My tech told me to break it in hard, so thats excatly what im doing, so when u floor it, this ***** gets up and goes. I was on the freeway going 80 and i was floored it at about 4000 rmp's and it was slammed into my seat and the mph needle was going up like a bat outta hell.
Suspension
the driving feel of this car is so far superior than the pervious c55. the stearing is so quick and direct, you move the wheel and the car reacts on a dime. theres way less body roll than on the 55, and when ive gone around corners hard the car really sticks to the road (i also chalk that up to the PS2's) and makes you feel completely under control. However if you've ever driven a porsche turbo or any sports car that has a rough suspension and you didnt like it, then this isnt the car for you. Bumps aren't smooth, and the jerk water little town that the Minnesota Twins have us in has pretty **** pore roads so there are a lot of pots holes, and raised man-hole covers. On the other hand, if you're not a whiny little ***** like people that have reviewed that car and complained about the ride comfort, and u like driving a legit sports car then ur cool. cuz thats what this is..... its a legit sports car, not like the rest of the AMG's that are just over powered luxury sports cars (got a love em tho) so personally i have no problem trading the feeling of driving on a cloud with better handling then there shouldnt b a problem, thats just me tho.
I love the car to death but this defanitely isnt a car that you're gonna drive around and blend in, this beast is in your face, loud, pissed off and you're gonna get a lot of looks driving around town. If thats the type of car that you were hoping for, well guys, AMG finally gave it to us
PS and questions or more picture requests just let me know

Very nice - thanks for taking the time to share impressions as well as pics.
Also interested re: the wheels - especially width at the back.

Ok so about the rims, they're not copies, my tech somehow how a deal for me they're the 40th anniversary CL65 AMG rims, they're normally 11,000 but he got em for me for 3,000. They're 19's and i dont know the width and all that about the size, sorry.
Interior is black/black I'll take some pics, i also have to JL W3 10's and a JL 1000 wat amp. I'm thinking about getting the renntech ECU upgrade which supposedly gives you about 60 extra hp which puts it around 510. They're doing performance tests on the car and they're gonna let me know the improvements so I'll forward the info

actually you can see the stamp platform on the rim of his wheels. you see a 2-3 inch long flat rectangular section on the lip, thats where the AMG stamp is. they definitely are off the cl65 40th anniversary because if you look up the car and check the pics those are the wheels you see.
also for clarification. they ARE NOT 11k i dont know who claimed that but its wrong. the wheels are 1000 for each rear wheel and 1034 for each front one. just checked in with my contact at the mb parts department. thats 4068 for the set, a far cry from 11k. but since you got em for 3k its still a very good deal.

BMW 330i - C63 on order.
The CL65 anniversary wheels are 20". The wheels on this C63 are not genuine AMG; there is no AMG stamp and they're 8.0J x 19 front and 9.0J x 19 rear. There are no genuine AMG alloys of that size in this style.
There is a genuine AMG 19" forged alloy version of this wheel, in widths 8.5 and 9.5, but they're not available as an aftermarket accessory until the end of this month and they will cost big money.
Having said all that, the wheels on this C63 look great.

X3 and 2012 C coming soon
sorry Danny Boy but i think u've been had. by the pics u posted, i don't see the AMG log on the wheels along the outer lip of the wheels. i just got a set of those "CL style" wheels and they look exactly like what u have.
show me a close-up pic of the wheel to prove me wrong.

Wow! I feel like a scumbag. I am the tech who supplied and installed these wheels for Danny Boy.
I gave him the information that I was supplied with from the person I got the wheels from. The person that I got the wheels from got false info from another party.
I am not the kind of person that wants to do this kind of business where false information is supplied and am willing do what it takes to make things right. I, in no way, was trying to get one over on Danny. I only charged him for the installation.
I have already called Danny and left a message.
Again, I feel bad. I appologize and I will make up for this, whether it be a free service or some good discounts or a combination thereof.
