The Scuderia may be a better car, but an AMG is cheaper to own and drive daily. (not DTM) I'd rather have a CLK63 AMG BS over any Ferrari.

at half the price and just as much exotic appeal, the clk BS is a much better buy, especially considering that it can hang with any ferrari around a track

people need to realalize that there is two types of "good"

1) GOOD
2) GOOD FOR THE MONEY

there maybe cars out there that are better for the money

about having a CLK BS over any ferrari......reallly ????????????????

just my 2 cents on which i rather own

F430>CLK BS
SCUDERIA> CLK BS
599>CLK BS
612>CLK BS
ENZO>CLK BS

i would not take ANY BENZ over any NEW ferrari

the entry level 430 would dust the CLK in terms of track time

i could be wrong, but i really really doubt it

ferrari is overrated junk, so many better cars out there. Hell The old E36 M3 dominated the Ferrari 355 in car and drivers best handling car of any price tag test 4 years in arow from 1995-1999 (along with many other much more expensive cars). Often times its not the most expensive car that performs the best, its the most well sorted out and well rounded, the C63 seems to be that car.

I'd take C63 over all the cars mentioned in this thread, pricetag or not.

WOOOOW. I'm sorry, I just had to respond to this post after reading that. The F430 is NOTHING compared to an CL65, maybe you drove the F430 but clearly you haven't driven the CL65. You can kill the Ferrari while getting a massage in the cooled seats and playing a track off of your iPod (or music from your 60GB built in hard drive).

Don't get me wrong, Ferrari are good cars; but Ferrari's only sell because we live in a vain world -- Porsche is a REAL sports car. Because the F430 would be put to shame by the GT2.

But the one credit I will give Ferrari is the 575 Maranello. That was a true sports car!! The 360, F430... those are not the greatest Ferrari's, they are more flashy than anything.

That's just my 2cents.

wow i couldnt dissagree more

while the CL65 can smoke a F430.....i would still rather take the f430 even if it had a KIA engine inside

the car simply looks waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better
(again this is just my taste, but i think the 430 body is the nicest looking body on any car)

also, i dunno about handleing and tracking the car

but im pretty sure the F430 would do better track times, AND, aside from maybe being slower in a straight line (it is a V8 vs a bi-turbo v12 after all)

i think the ferrari blows its doors off everywhere else

tranny, looks, handling, ect

i know this is a benz forum and all.....and i ordered the c63....but in all reality

FERRARI > BENZ

how can u guys dissagree

I think its funny because this thread began with you loving how the car drove, you seemed like such a driving enthusiast, that is you enjoyed how a car drives over how it looks, but the whole kia engine in an F430 threw that idea right out the window...

Hmm.. sounds like to me. Grip for days? Take a look at some of the road test videos, all they talk about is how squirly the rear end is, and the car is perfect for drifting contests.

Can we see some pics of your "garage" and your cars? Sounds a little hoakey to me.

Nothing to prove here bro. Look at all of my previous posts and cars. You'll see. You can't believe every magazine you read, you need to drive the car for a while to get to know it.

+1. Ferrari or MB for one day = F car. Ferrari or MB for one year = MB. There isn't a single Ferrari out there that makes a lot of sense as a DD except the Scaglietti. You can't beat the music they make though.

Look at your 186 posts and what cars? Anyone can say anything they want about how many cars they've had. C'mon, not disagreeing with the fact that the C63 is an amazing car. Take a look at this vid. That is what I am talking about. This is ONE example of professional drivers comparing cars and saying that the C36 is squirrely. And then there is you on the other hand, saying it is the best handling car you've driven, out of your Ferrari's, Lambo's and other MB's? All I am saying is, hmmm.... something is stinky in Pleasantville.

And what am I going to see? I don't need to see anything. I've owned F cars, and multiple AMG's and BMW's and AUDI's. Having driven and owned some of the craziest and best cars money can buy, including a C63 test drive, and a CLK Black Test drive, and Gallardo's, etc, etc, what I AM saying, is that I don't neccessarily believe what YOU are saying. IMHO, I don't buy it.

A test drive is not owning the car. I just have a different opinion on this car than you do, that's it.

Firstly let me ask you one thing...have you tracked any of your cars?
secondly you are a bit off if you think people actually track their cars as often as you read about them in the mags.

so then you are left with Daily use on normal roads in normal every day weather.
what does the F car have over an AMG?

is it more comfertible?
does it have the luxury?
does it hold 4 passengers?
does it have a big boot?
if you leave it parked some where will you for ever be worried about it?
Is that speed bump to low, or high for the car (F car)
hows the fuel consumption?
will i get a head ache from driving it long distance, and be all sweaty?
How much does it cost to repair/ maintain?
Is it an all weather car?
Would you let the wife drive it?
are its parts widely Available in the market for repair?
and whats the price difference between the two cars?

Do not get me wrong the F430 is a sick car, but it has its drow backs and you seem to think i has non. You would appreciate the German effort more if you were to actually experience these set backs.

bottom line... i would not use it as a daily driver, where as an AMG is an all in one package, and to be honest you can not beat that.

Thats one of the reasons why the P 911TT is so good, it can be used as a daily driver, where as the F cars could not be. The new F cars are making a good effort into improving this though .

This is a highly moronic thread.

To the ferrari guy if you really believe that Ferrari is the best car on earth a man named Horratio Pagani would beg to differ. Im assuming you have never heard of a Zonda, let alone a Zonda F, or a Zonda F Clubsport. The Scud is fast, but chmon people lets be logical here, its not the fastest thing on the street.

Um, when you own an F car, as many of us have or do, you don't buy it for the daily driver. That is what AMG or M's or RS's are for. But to compare the ride, handling and suspension of say a 360, or 430 to that of a C63? No doubt the C63 is a beast, no doubt. So is my ML63, but, c'mon. MB quality over Ferrari or Pagani or any other F car for that matter..

Enjoy the new C, if your opinion it is better than any other Supercar or High end you've owned, god bless and good luck.
