Fact is, the Ferraris are way overpriced and often driven by people who do not have sufficient abilities or talents to appreciate their handling. Yes, the poseur crowd, thats the one!!! Give me the 65 any day!!!

Beautiful, the 65 Dusted the Ferrari and it wasn't even CLOSE. Now my second wish is for these morons to shut up about Ferraris. Overpriced slugs. Ferrari is just like Ducati (another junker) was years ago. When Ducati was getting their butts kicked by the Japanese in F1 motorcycle racing, they petitioned the FIM to change the rules so that the V-Twins could compete against the superior speed and technology of the Japanese bikes. A few years later in F1, Ferrari did the same because they were getting shellacked by Honda and their superior technology. Mercedes never said a peep BUT Ferrari and others were crying about active wings and suspension etc. The joke about Ducatis is ride it for an hour, work on it for 2, ride it for 2 hours work on it for 5. Ride it for 3 and never ride again.

Yes and was not impressed, Rough riding, very loud in rear, cant hear yourself think; Oversteers like crazy; Getting in and out you need a freakin chiropractor; Trans not as good (quick) as that in the new Lexus IS-F and its not as fast as an S65 or an C63. Any more questions.

Oh stop yourself, you're whining just like Ferrari does in F-1 and Ducati does in FIM. Ferrari has plenty of technology to put a V-12 in there. It got smoked, accept that and move on with your life. Even the German guy in the video was amazed with the power of the Benz.

The Ferrari Challenge record at Road Amercia is 2:19. With a club driver in a CLK63 BS 2:19 and with a pro driver it's in the 2:17s. and thats for a street car. Spare me the invicible ferrari internet lore.

Thanks Jim, couldnt have said it better myself. A simple statement that I got my C 63 today has turned into a Ferrari lovefest. The guy was simply stating his opinion and now the tifosi got a hold of it (in fear!! I guess).

Although C63 is an awesome car, its handling cannot compare to any Ferrari, CLK63 BS, or much less E92 M3. Look at the recent Top Gear comparison, M3 absolutely destroyed C63 on track (http://youtube.com/watch?v=g5nzEax87lw)
Also, if you look at Evo Magazine's Bedford Autodrome times, C63 is about as fast as a Porsche Cayenne Turbo, while M3 and F430 are on a whole other level:
"24: Ferrari F430 1:24.20 (´05)
33: BMW M3 (E92) 1:26.60 ('07)
48: Mercedes C 63 AMG 1:29.50 (´07)
49: Porsche Cayenne Turbo 1:29.55 (´03")

Look at the facts. C63 was designed to be a euro-muscle car with huge straight line performance, even Mercedes's advertising campaign solely focuses on its power. It was never meant to be a great handling machine. If you think that C63 handles better than any Ferrari or CLK63BS, then you're not driving them properly. That is the only explanation.

PS: with the Performance Package, the C63s handling is alot better
the top gear models didnt have the PP option

The suspension on this car is unreal. I live in the canyons in Los Angeles and pushed the car to it's limits. There are a few long sweepers that I would go 72-78 MPH in the CLK BS, and in the C63 I'm easily hitting 92-96 MPH around the same turns. Granted once the car breaks in, I'm sure it will get better.
