Just ordered the 19" AMG V 16 spoke wheels from merc canada

Just ordered the 19" AMG V 16 spoke wheels from merc canada
Hey guys, after much research and "should I or not" I placed my order through my Benz dealer in ottawa, ontario, canada, for the optional 19" wheels available in europe etc and not here in north america, I will provide you with the part numbers... front are 19x8 ET45 #B66031047 and the rears are 19x9 ET54 B66031048, the cost is about $950 each for the fronts and $1075.00 for the rears, not including the rubber...I know some of you will throw the shots that I could have bought HRE, Calrsson or whatever, but this is a personal choice and want the car to look like the FIA Formula pace/safety car. They are ordered from germany and could take anywhere from 14 to 30 days to arrive, which works out well for me as my car is only being built in July with end of august delivery.

I have a few questions
were you connected with them(Merc Canada)from the get go or is this your 1st purchase? any hastles or prerequisites before ordering?
you said that you dont have your car yet, so technically you didnt need to give them your Vin# right?
and finally I am also planning on buying the smaller door lock pins as well as the rear tire spoiler (both non US parts) do you think I can aquire the parts from Merc Canada?

Sorry, I was waiting for that one, I am going to keep the OEM wheels as they will serve as my winter wheels, as sparingly as I will drive it, as this is a third car in my house, but on those crisp, dry, no snow on the road days, when I crave the muscular V8, I will take it out. But before I pick up the car and put the 19" on, I will do the burnout from hell.

Barry, I had to do it! If i cant have the car right away, might as have the wheels, silly logic i know,but just did it....these wheels should hold up better than say a three piece wheel, for now....guinea pig lives!!

Have you ordered the wheels as well, if so from who and how much, comparing notes is essential to make sure we are not getting hosed.

Yeah but even if he gets a custom aftermarket wheel, whats the widest he can go? 19x10? With the 19x9 you can fit a 275/285 which is plenty wide for this body imo.

The 19 inch multi spoke rims are NOT part of the pp package in north america, including USA!! We north americans are NOT getting these rims, hence the reason I am ordering them.

Barry, seems like I have peaked some interest in lots of people about these wheels...the HRE guys are going to send some muscle to visit me. Maybe i should contact the AMG guys in Germany and arrange for a small cut or something.

Well the only other wheels I considered were HRE, the 448R which is similar to the 19" AMG Wheels.
The thing is I think the AMG Wheels look better and cleaner without the rivets(yes I know HRE are 3-Piece Wheels) and a deep dish lip. Call me crazy but I think the no dish looks real good on this car.
