stock C63s trap what, like 115? 115+?
depending on the chip/piggyback, 335i can trap just 111-112 on pump, maybe 113-114 on race.....they cannot really trap 117 without dps, fmic, and intake.
there was a 335i at the AZ AMG/SRT6 last month with an EVOtech tune and intake that i believe trapped 108.
IMO: C63 is the more desirable car. sexier looking, sounding.
yes, the 335i is cheaper to mod and easier to mod, but that doesnt mean the C63 can't be modded. furthermore, the 335i maxes out at like 119mph trap speed without doing serious modding upgrades (bigger turbos)...the C63 does not max out that soon. furthermore it is never really fair to compare modded to stock or modded to modded. it is all about who has more money for modding.

Wow, you people and your c63's. The OP wanted a comparison on the performance of both cars. Turns out, a chipped 335 is going to hang with a stock C63. Can you guys handle that? I love how everyone on this childish C63 forum just bashes the 335 cause its not an M or a AMG, please ladies and gentleman, get over yourselves.

Why would anyone wants to buy an 335i when you can get an turbocharged Cobalt SS for half the price than can hang with your all mighty 335 coupe?
FYI, the Cobalt SS lapped VIR/4.2 miles at a time of 3:13 with an average of speed of 78.3mph, and while your better performer 135i coupe ( which is 200 lbs lighter and quicker than your 335 coupe ) lapped the course at 3:13.7 and 78.1 mph. How's that for performance comparison. With the difference of around $19k less in msrp for the SS, just imagine what you can do with the SS? How you like that for performance comparison..
My point is just because you can mod your cheaper 335 to run as quick as an C63, it doesn't make your chipped 335 into a C63. Anyone can do that with a lesser car and only want-to-be would want to make such a comparison.

The modified 135i is like really going to kick some 335i *** and my modified 93 Supra is going to like really beat the 335i and actually hangs with like the Bugatti Veyron and stuff with its 1000+ bhp!
Why did this thread begin again, I thought it was burried for good? I must say you 335iers are resilient.
I like the new tactic. Lets begin with the BMW 120i is like relly going to kick the C63 and slowly work your way up to what you really want to say:
The M3 is like really a lot faster than the C63 and by then nobody has the energy to post.
Just something to think about:
If you are saying the 335i is as fast as an C63, you are actually saying that the 335i is faster than a E92 M3, because we have proven several times that the C63 is faster than the M3.

335i>M3

Gee, if I were to post something like - chipped/exhaust C63 is as quick as your M5/M6. Do I expect the M5/6 owners to not be a little hostile? I won't ever do that because that would disrespect their cars and their decisions for buying something different that they enjoy very much.
Can't say I am C63 baised because I do not own one, yet. Just telling the way I see it.

although there is no comparison, I am considering getting a 335i and chipping it over the AMG due to lease numbers and it fits my budget better.. .that is the only reason..

As for handling and track numbers, for a non "M" or AMG the 335 does very well. I'm sure most of you that actually followed this thread saw the nearly identical skid pad numbers and the lowly 335 model stopped in a shorter distance than the c63.
I am in no way saying that the 335 is a better car, cause its not. Just tying to shed some light on how ridiculous it is saying its a stupid comparison becuase its not a special limited producton car.
F.Y.I. And since you bring a 135 into the discussion, Some quick research revealed a 120.87 mph trap.

Great Idea, get some videos, Make sure it is either a JB3 or V3 tune car, and find out the supporting mods. It will be a great race and im sure once you have your tuned ecu in you will pull.

ill run you. i ran the other guy on here from NY with the E55 AMG. i am on long island. i am running the JB3 1.22 (newest beta version) with FMIC, catless DP's, full catless exhaust and DCI.

im a 335i owner and just finishing my lease and im getting myself a c63 simply because its more aggressive looking and you can tell the difference right away with the c-class line up unlike the 3 series.

Not to be beating a dead horse, but in my opinion there is just no point whatsoever in comparing modded vs stock. Like Andy said in another thread, if you want to compare apples to oranges, you can get a Fox 5.0 for $3500 put $5k into it and walk virtually any car out there. Does that make it "better" than the C63? Of course not. It all comes down to personal preference at the end of the day. The people who opted to get a 335 and mod it are going to think that they have a better car, otherwise they wouldn't have bought it, and vice versa.
In my opinion I'd take a C63 every time, but that's all it is... my opinion.
I have to admit I was impressed with the 335's braking and skid pad numbers, however I think with the same driver the C63 is going to be significantly faster around a track, based on all the other factors.
